Деньги, в частности, будут направлены на содействие экономическому развитию республики и сокращению бедности.
Европейский союз предоставил Армении 77,5 млн евро на продолжение реформ, проводимых при его помощи.
В правительстве республики состоялась церемония "запуска" восьми соглашений, которые были заключены месяц назад по различным направлениям сотрудничества - от сельского хозяйства до территориального развития.
Как сообщил руководитель делегации ЕС в Армении Траян Христеа, в рамках программы "Восточного партнерства" ЕС Армения в расчете на душу населения - второй крупный получатель средств Евросоюза. "В ЕС рассчитывают, что эта существенная поддержка приведет к заметным результатам в течение ближайших лет", - отметил дипломат.
По словам представителя ЕС, два соглашения направлены на содействие экономическому развитию республики и сокращению бедности. Они предусматривают помощь сельскому хозяйству и развитию сельских общин (25 млн евро) и нацелены на подъем отрасли, создание новых рабочих мест, поддержку фермерских ассоциаций и кооперативов, доступность продовольствия.
По программе территориального развития, которая предусматривает выделение 10 млн евро, ЕС поможет конкретным проектам по сотрудничеству государства и частного сектора, обеспечению занятости, обучению трудовых ресурсов с целью поощрения экономического развития областей Армении.
В сфере управления ЕС обращает особое внимание на антикоррупционные преобразования и реформы гражданской службы, на что выделен 21 млн евро, сообщил Христеа. Дипломат также отметил, что 4 млн евро предусмотрены на развитие управления границ Армении и миграции.
Другое соглашение (на сумму 6 млн евро) направлено на развитие навыков гражданских служащих Армении и облегчит доступ республики к программам в рамках ЕС. Данный проект "укрепит гражданское общество Армении в качестве важного партнера в процессе упрочения двустороннего сотрудничества с ЕС и мониторинга реформ", - пояснил Христеа. Как полагает представитель ЕС, "обязательства высокого уровня о контроле со стороны парламента и гражданского общества незаменимы для успешного развития Армении".
Две объемные инфраструктурные программы направлены на реконструкцию Ереванского метрополитена, в частности, на укрепление его безопасности (5 млн евро) и на переоснащение сети водоснабжения столицы Армении (5,5 млн евро).
Еще 1 млн евро предусмотрен на совершенствование управления радиоактивными отходами.
