Վերջին օրերի իրադարձությունները, Գյումրիի ողբերգությունը ցույց տվեցին, թե որքան արագ է արդարության պահանջը համախմբում կարծես թե անհամախմբելի հասարակությանը, սակայն դրա հետ մեկտեղ` որքան շատ է զգացվում այդ միասնությունը ճիշտ ուղորդելու խնդիրը: Իսկ ճիշտ ուղղորդման խնդիրը վտանգավոր է ոչ միայն ինքն իրենով, այլ նկատառման կոնտեքստում, որ, ցավոք, շատ են արտաքին գործոնները, որոնք հաշվի չեն նստում ո’չ մարդկային ցավի, ո’չ հանրային արդարացի պահանջի, և ո’չ էլ արժեքների հետ:
Ռուս զինծառայողի կողմից կատարված դաժան, բարբարոս սպանությունը չի տեղավորվում որևէ տրամաբանության մեջ, և հասկանալի է, որ հասարակությունը մի շարք արդարացի պահանջներ ունի: Հասարակությանը, նախևառաջ, հստակ երաշխիքներ են պետք, որ, նախ, հանցագործը կպատժվի օրենքի ամենայն խստությամբ, ու թեև անհնար է հանցագործության համապատասխան պատիժ գտնել, այդուհանդերձ, կպատժվի ըստ արժանվույն:
Եվ երկրորդ, որ այդ ամենը կլինի բաց, թափանցիկ, հասարակությունն ամեն վայրկյան հնարավորություն կունենա համոզվելու, որ դատավարությունն իրականացվում է ըստ իր պահանջի: Եվ այստեղ է, որ պետք է դեր խաղար մեր իրավապահ մարմինների նկատմամբ ունեցած վստահությունը, հավատքը, բայց... Ավաղ, հասարակությունը դեռ չի վստահում ոստիկանությանը, և նախօրեին Գյումրիում տեղի ունեցած դեպքերը դրա վառ ապացույցն էին:
Միանշանակ ոչինչ պնդել գլոբալ պատերազմի այս դարում չես կարող, բայց մեկ բան հստակ է. Ոստիկանությունը ոչ միայն իր գործողություններով ու գործունեությամբ չի կարող գալ ու հասնել վստահության այն մակարդակին, որն անհրաժեշտ է նախօրեին տեղի ունեցած բախումներից խուսափելու համար, այլ որովհետև նրան համառ խանգարում են:
Ցավոք, ականատեսը եղանք, որ երեկվա բախումները, այդ պայքարը ոչ թե ոստիկանություն-զայրացած հասարակություն հարթությունում էին, այլ ոստիկանություն ու մի քանի տասնյակ սադրիչների մակարդակում, և սա առաջին դեպքը չի: Նույն դեմքերը, նույն «ակտիվիստները» պարբերաբար բեմահարթակ են ելնում տարբեր բողոքի ակցիաների ժամանակ և միշտ նույն երգը երգում` Պուտին, իշխանափոխություն, ստրկատիրություն և այլն:
