Գյումրիում տեղի ունեցած դաժան սպանության գործը ցնցեց ողջ աշխարհը: Այսօր՝ հունվարի 19-ին, կյանքից հեռացավ փոքրիկ Սերյոժան, ում փրկության համար աղոթում էր ողջ հայ ազգը: Տեղի եւ արտերկրից ժամանած բժիշկները թերեւս արեցին ամեն ինչ՝ հրաշքով ողջ մնացած փոքրիկ Ավետիսյանին ապաքինելու համար, սակայն…
Չնայած նրան, որ դեռ հայտնի չէ սպանության դրդապատճառը, այնուամենայնիվ, մարդասպան Պերմյակովի արարքը շատերի կողմից քաղաքականացվեց: Թե ի՞նչ կերպ է լուսաբանվում Գյումրիում տեղի ունեցած դեպքը վրացական մամուլում, Orer.am-ը ճշտեց Վրաստանի հարցերով փորձագետ Ջոնի Մելիքյանից. «Կարելի է ասել իրավիճակն աննախադեպ էր, քանի որ Գյումրիում տեղի ունեցածը բավական ակտիվ կերպով լուսաբանվեց վրացական մամուլում: Այսօրվա դրությամբ ընդդիմադիր ալիքներից «Ռուսթավի 2»-ն իր լրագրողներին ուղարկել էր Գյումրի, որպեսզի նյութ պատրաստեին, նրանք պատրաստել էին մոտ քսան րոպե տեւողությամբ ռեպորտաժ:
Վրացական մամուլում հիմնականում տրվում էր հայկական մամուլից թարգմանություններ: Նյութերը քիչ թե շատ բալանսավորված էին՝ չնայած հիմնականում բոլոր նյութերում մատնանշվում էր սպանություն կատարած անձի ազգությունը եւ ասվում էր, որ նա ռուսական ռազմաբազայի ժամկետային զինծառայող է: Եղան նաեւ այնպիսի հոդվածներ, որտեղ հարցականի տակ էր դրվում ռուսական ռազմաբազայի՝ Գյումրիում մնալու հանգամանքը: Նմանատիպ նյութերի հրապարակումները կարող ենք բացատրել նրանով, որ Վրաստանը Ռուսաստանի հետ դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններ չունի, եւ այս դեպքում օգտագործվում է ամեն մի հնարավոր առիթ, որպեսզի տարվի այդ պրոպագանդան, թեկուզ պետք է նկատենք, որ նոր իշխանւթյունների օրորք ինֆորմացիոն պատերազմն ավելի մեղմ է: Չնայած մամուլում փորձում են ցույց տալ, որ տարածաշրջանում Ռուսաստանի ներկայությունն այդքան էլ դրական չէ, եւ որոշ նյութերում այդ գաղափարն իրոք տեղ էր գտել:
Լավ էր, որ եղավ փոխարտգործնախարարի հայտարարությունը այն մասին, որ Վրաստանը ցավակցում է Հայաստանին՝ չնայած սպասելի էր, որ գոնե նախագահի, վարչապետի մակարդակով հայտարարություն կլիներ: Օրինակ՝ Փարիզի դեպքերի հետ կապված՝ ամենաբարձր մակարդակներով հնչեցին ցավակցական խոսքեր»:
Իսկ Վրաստանում հայկական համայնքի արձագանքի վերաբերյալ Ջ.Մելիքյանը նշեց. «Պետք է նշեմ, որ հայկական համայնքը բավական ակտիվ էր, մոմավառություն եղավ դեսպանատան մոտ, երիտասարդները Վրաստանի եւ Հայաստանի դրոշներով մոտեցել ու հարգանքի տուրք են մատուցել դեսպանատան մոտ: Ի դեպ, մոմավառություն է եղել նաեւ Ջավախքում, իսկ եկեղեցիներում հոգեհանգստի պատարագ է մատուցվել»:
