Ասալայի մասին խոսելիս մեր հասարակությունը փորձում է խուսափել տեռորիզմ բառից՝ բերելով այն հիմնավորումը, որ այդ մարտիկները տեռորիստներ չեն եղել, այլ՝ վրիժառուներ: Բայց, որքան էլ փորձենք խուսափել իրականությունից, այնուամենայնիվ, հաղթահարելով կարծրատիպերը՝ պետք է փաստել, որ Ասալան միանշանակ ահաբեկչական կազմակերպություն է:
Տեռորիզմ երևույթը չի սահմանափակվում միայն մեզ հայտնի Կարմիր տեռորով կամ էլ «Ալ-Կաիդա»-ի գործունեությամբ, այլ՝ բավականին լայն և բազմաշերտ քաղաքական պայքարի տարբերակ է:
Նշենք, որ այդ տերմինն առաջացել է Ֆրանսիական մեծ հեղափոխության տարիներին, բայց երևույթն անհամեմատ առավել երկար պատմություն ունի՝ ընդհուպ մեր թվարկության 1-ին դար:
Պայմանականորեն կարելի է առանձնացնել տեռորի երկու տարատեսակ.
1. Պետության կողմից կազմակերպված տեռոր, որը նպատակ է հետապնդում ահաբեկել, ոչնչացնել քաղաքական այլախոհներին, որն արվում է սեփական քաղաքական դիրքերը ամրապնդելու, որդեգրած գաղափարները բռնի ուժով տարածելու և իշխանությունը պահպանելու նպատակով (Յակոբինյան տեռոր, Կարմիր տեռոր, Սպիտակ տեռոր, Հիտլերյան տեռոր և այլն):
2. Տեռորի են դիմում այն ժողովուրդները, հասարակական-քաղաքական, կրոնական խմբերը, որոնք կարծում են, թե իրենց իրավունքները ոտնհարված են, և պաշտպանվելու համար այլևս չկա այլընտրանք, քանի որ փակված են խնդրի կարգավորման բոլոր՝ իրավական, քաղաքական, դիվանագիտական, ռազմական տարբերակները (ԻՌԱ, Հզբոլլահ, Ամալ և այլն):
Այսինքն, «Ասալա»-ն դիտարկելով երկրորդ խմբի մեջ՝ եկանք այն եզրակացության, որ այդ խմբի ներկայացուցիչներն, անկախ նպատակների ուղղվածությունից, չունենալով այլ ելք կամ էլ էֆեկտիվ համարելով այդ ճանապարհը, ընտրում են քաղաքական պայքարի այդ տարբերակը:
Իսկ նպատակների ուղղվածությունը շեշտելով՝ պետք է հստակ պատկերացնել, որ և՛ «Ալ-Կաիդա»-ն, և՛ «ԱՍԱԼԱ»-ն որդեգրել են պայքարի նույն ուղին, պարզապես տարբեր են նպատակներն ու գաղափարները:
Պարզապես 2001 թվականին միջազգային տեռորիզմի դեմ սկսված պատերազմն առաջ քաշեց այն մտայնությունը, որ տեռորը միանշանակորեն հանցագործություն է՝ ուղղված մարդկության դեմ՝ բացառելով այն հանգամանքը, որ այդ ճանապարհով ընթացել են նաև անտեսված և ճնշված ժողովուրդները:
Օրինակ, հրեաներն երբեք չեն ժխտում, որ իրականացրել են տեռորիստական ակտեր («Դավիթ» հյուրանոցի պայթեցումը), քանի որ միայն այդ ճնշման ներքո նրանք ի վերջո կարողացան անգլիական կառավարությանը ստիպել տեր կանգնելու իրենց խոստումներին: Իսկ ի՞նչ պետք է անեին իռլանդացիները. մի՞թե նրանց պայքարը հիմնավորված և արդարացված չէր:
Հայերը նույնպես չպետք է վախենան տեռորիզմ եզրույթից, քանի որ նրանք, չունենալով այլընտրանք, ընտրել են արդարության հասնելու քաղաքական պայքարի այդ օրինաչափ ուղին:
Այլ խոսքով ասած՝ տեռորիզմը միայն չի արտահայտվում Ուսամա բեն Լադենով. այն, ինչպես նշեցինք, բազմաշերտ, բազմաֆունկցիոնալ երևույթ է, որի դասակարգման և արժևորման հիմքում պետք է ընկած լինեն գիտական փաստարկները, այլ ոչ թե վախեցած բարոյականության խուսափողական պատճառաբանությունները և «ջայլամային» տրամարդրությունները, որոնց ականատես ենք լինում ամեն օր:
