Սերժ Սարգսյանն ուղերձ է հղել Հոլոքոստի զոհերի հիշատակի միջազգային օրվա կապակցությամբ: Ուղերձում ասված է.
«Երկրորդ աշխարհամարտի տարիներին հրեաների նկատմամբ իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը, հիրավի, մարդկության պատմության ամենադաժան և ողբերգական էջերից մեկն է: Հունվարի 27-ը, որը խորհրդանշում է Օսվենցիմի համակենտրոնացման ճամբարի ազատագրումը, Հոլոքոստի չարիքին վերջ դնելու կարևորագույն հանգրվաններից եղավ:
Հոլոքոստի զոհերի ոգեկոչումը և այդ եղեռնագործության դատապարտումը արդիական է այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ աշխարհում շարունակում են գլուխ բարձրացնել ազգային, ռասայական, կրոնական հողի վրա հիմնված ատելության և անհանդուրժողականության ամենատարբեր դրսևորումները, քանի դեռ չի վերացել մարդկության դեմ ուղղված հանցագործությունների կրկնության սպառնալիքը:
Աներկբա ճշմարտություն է, որ ցեղասպանությունների զոհերին մոռացության մատնելը և ժխտողականությունը՝ հատկապես պետական մակարդակով, այդ ոճրագործության փուլերից մեկն է: Այն կրկնակի հանցանք է ոչ միայն անմեղ զոհերի, այլև ներկայի ու ապագայի հանդեպ: Թերևս հնարավոր լիներ կանխել Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի քողի ներքո իրականացված ոճրագործությունները, եթե Առաջին համաշխարհային պատերազմի տարիներին մարդկության դեմ իրականացված հանցագործությունները միջազգային լիարժեք դատապարտման արժանանային, իսկ դրանց պատասխանատուները կրեին արժանի պատիժ:
Վերստին խոնարհվելով Հոլոքոստի անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակի առջև՝ ցանկանում եմ զորակցություն և համերաշխություն հայտնել հրեա ժողովրդին, Հայաստանի հրեական համայնքին: Հայ ժողովուրդը, որն այս տարի ոգեկոչում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-ամյակը, առավել քան հաղորդակից է հրեա ժողովրդի ցավին:
