Երևանի ժամանակով 20-ին մեկնարկել է ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի արտահերթ նիստը՝ նվիրված Ուկրաինայում ծավալվող պատերազմական իրադարձություններին:
ՄԱԿ-ում ԱՄՆ ներկայացուցիչ Սամանթա Պաուերը Ռուսաստանին մեղադրել է ստախոսության մեջ՝ նշելով, թե այդ երկրի զինված ուժերը մասնակցում են Ուկրաինայի արևելքում ծավալվող պատերազմական գործողություններին:
ՄԱԿ-ում Ռուսաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Վիտալի Չուրկինն, իր հերթին, մեղադրել է Ուկրաինայի ու ԱՄՆ-ի իշխանություններին՝ խոսելով Վաշինգտոնի աշխարհաքաղաքական ամբիցիաների մասին:
Կիևում ավարտվել է երկրի Անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստը, որը դիմել է ԱՄՆ-ին՝ Ուկրաինային ՆԱՏՕ-ից դուրս այդ երկրի հատուկ դաշնակցի կարգավիճակ տալու խնդրանքով:
Քիչ առաջ, ռուս-ուկրաինական պատերազմն է եղել ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի հեռուստաուղերձի թեման:
Նա խոսել է Ուկրաինայի նկատմաբ Ռուսաստանի ոտնձգությունների մասին՝ վերջինիս սպառնալով նոր, ավելի խիստ պատժամիջոցներով:
ԱՄՆ նախագահը իրավիճակի ողջ պատասխանատվությունը դրել է Ռուսաստանի վրա՝ ասելով, թե այդ երկիրն է ֆինանսավորում ու նախապատրաստում Ուկրաինայի արևելքի անջատողականներին:
Օբաման նաև ասել է, որ Ռուսաստանն երբեք այսքան մեկուսացված չի եղել՝ երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմից ի վեր: ԱՄՆ նախագահը մտադիր է Վաշինգտոն հրավիրել Ուկրաինայի իր գործընկեերոջը:
Այնուամենայնիվ, Օբաման ՙՙներխուժում՚՚ չի անվանել ռուսական զորքերի գործողությունն Ուկրաինայում, ինչպես նաև բացառել է ռազմական հակամարտությունը ԱՄՆ-ի ու Ուկրաինայի միջև:
Հետաքրքիր զարգացումներ են տեղի ունենում նաև Ռուսաստանում:
Ռուս դեսանտայինների մայրերն ու կանայք հավաքվել են Կոստրոմայի զինվորական բազայի մոտ ու պահանջում են տեղեկություններ՝ Ուկրաինայում կռվող իրենց հարազատների մասին:
Ուկրաինայի արևելքի անջատողականները՝ Ռուսաստանի զինված ուժերի աջակցությամբ, շարժվում են դեպի Մարիուպոլ քաղաք, որը ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունի Ուկրաինայի համար: Երեկոյան այդ քաղաքում բազմահազարանոց հանրահավաք է տեղի ունեցել ընդդեմ ռուսական ներխուժման եւ օկուպացիայի:
Խարկովում ռուսական հյուպատոսության շենքի մոտ տեղի է ունեցել բողոքի ակցիա, որն ուղեկցվել է անկարգություններով:
Երեկոյան Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հայտարարությունն է տեղադրվել նախագահի կայքում: Նա դիմել է, իր իսկ խոսքերով, Դոնբասի աշխարհազորայիններին, որվեսզի վերջիններս հումանիտար միջանցք բացեն շրջափակման մեջ հայտնված ուկրաինացի զինվորների համար:
Նա կրկին կոչ է րել Ուկրաինայի իշխանություններին՝ անհապաղ բանակցություններ սկսել Դոնբասի իշխանությունների հետ, ինչպես նաև հավաստիացրել է, որ Ռուսաստանը շարունակելու է հումանիտար օգնություն հասցնել Դոնբաս:
Ռուսաստանի նախագահը փորձում է տպավորություն ստեղծել, որ խոսքը ոչ թե ռուս-ուկրաինական պատերազմի, այլ՝ ներուկրաինական հակամարտության մասին է:
