Էրդողան-Գյուլեն հակամարտությունը Գյուլենի շուրթերով երևան է հանում և ի ցույց հանրությանը մատնանշում դեպի Եվրոպական միություն տենչող Թուրքիայում առկա զանգվածային անարադարությունները ու Էրդողանի վարչակազմի անհանդուրժողականությունը՝ հանձինս իր իսկ ազգի ու համաքաղաքացիների նկատմամբ:

Գյուլենը մասնավորապես հայտնել է, որ Թուրքիայում իրավիճակը գնալով վատթարանում է: ԶԼՄ-ների ղեկավարներն ու խմբագիրները շարունակաբար ձեռբակալվում են, ամենատարածված հեռուստաալիքի տնօրենը դեկտեմբերից մինչ օրս ձեռբակալված է, կոռուպցիոն հետաքննությունը վարող պաշտոնյաները նույնպես ձեռբակալված են՝ պարզապես իրենց աշխատանքը կատարելու համար: Նման զանգվածային ճնշումները ազդակ են, որ իշխող կուսակցության օրակարգը խափանել փորձող ցանկացած անձ դռանա պատժամիջոցների, զրպարտությունների և նույիսկ շինծու մեղադրանքների թիրախ:
Գյուլենը մատնանշում է, որ Թուրքիան՝ հանձինս Էրդողանի վարչակազմի, օտարել է ոչ միայն արևմուտքին, այլև կորցնում է իր դիրքերը նաև Մերձավոր արևելքում: Թուրքիայի՝ տարածաշրջանում ազդեցությունը հաստատելու հնարավորությունը կախված է ոչ միայն տնտեսությունից, այլև երկրում առողջ ժողովրդավարության առկայությունից:

Երկու քաղաքական գործիչների միջև լարվածությունը գնալով աճում է: Թուրքիայի կառավարությունը անվավեր է ճանաչել երբեմնի դաշնակցից թշնամի վերածված Ֆեթուլլահ Գյուլենի անձնագիրը: Սա կարծես թե վերջին զարկն էր ԱՄՆ-ում հաստատված Գյուլերի և նախագահ Էրդողանի հարաբերությունների միջև: Նման արարքին կարող է հաջորդել Անկարայի կողմից Գյուլենի արտահանձնման պաշտոնական խնդրանքը, որն էլ, ըստ էության, ԱՄՆ-ն կմերժի:
Էրդողանի շարունակական հակահարվածների մեկ այլ դրսևորում էր նաև Գյուլենին ու նրա դաշնակիցներին՝ Իսրայելի գաղտնի հետախուզության ծառայության՝ «Մոսադ» -ի հետ կապ ունենալու մեղադրանքը: Գյուլենն անմիջապես արձագանքեց այդ մեղադրանքին՝ շեշտելով, որ ընդհանրապես կապ չունի այդ ծառայության հետ: Ավելին, նա հակադարձ մեղադրանք առաջ քաշեց Էրդողանի նկատմամբ՝ հայտարարելով, որ Էրդողանը երբեմնի ժողովրդավար Թուրքիան տանում է դեպի «տոտալիտարիզմ»:
Արդյո՞ք այս հակասությունից կողմերից որևէ մեկը շահեկան դուրս կգա թե ոչ, թերևս անկանխատեսելի է, սակայն անհերքելի փաստ է այն հանգամանքը, որ փոխադարձ մեղադրանքների արդյունքում աշխարհը ականջալուր է լինում Թուրքիայում առկա ներքաղաքական ծայրահեղ անհանդուրժողական և քայքայիչ իրավիճակին:
