ՀՀ ոստիկանության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի և լրատվության վարչության պետ Աշոտ Ահարոնյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է.
«Տեսանյութ է շրջանառվում, թե Ճանապարհային ոստիկանության ծառայողն ինչպես է բռնում խանութից գողություն արած անձին ու բերման ենթարկում: Իհարկե, սա այն դեպքը չէ, որին անդրադառնալու անհրաժեշտություն կա. գրեթե ամեն օր նման դեպքեր պատահում են, որոնց չենք անդրադառնում: Բայց լրատվամիջոցի կողմից տեսանկարահանվածը ուղեկցվում է օգտատերերի մեկնաբանություններով, որոնց մի մասը, մեղմ ասած, տարօրինակ է: Այլ կերպ չես բնութագրի «հայտնագործությունները», թե ոստիկանը պիտի մտածի՝ այս կասկածյալին բռնի, մյուսին՝ ոչ, այս հանցագործությունը կանխի, իսկ մեկ այլ հանցանք կարելի է և աչքաթող անել: Ոստիկանի խնդիրը դատողություններ անելը չէ: Ոստիկանի խնդիրը հանցագործությունը կանխարգելելն է, կանխելը, կասեցնելը, բացահայտելը: Տվյալ դեպքում ոստիկանը կատարել է իր գործառույթից բխող գործողություններ ու հստակ է կատարել. Տեսնելով, որ խանութի աշխատակիցը բղավելով հետապնդում է ինչ-որ մեկին՝ բռնել է վերջինիս ու բերման ենթարկել:
Չանե՞ր, ձևացներ, թե ոչինչ չի պատահել ու գնար իր ճանապարհո՞վ: Ճանապարհային ոստիկանն այդ պահին ինչպես կռահեր հետապնդվողը քաղցրավենիք էր վերցրել, թե մարմնական վնասվածք հասցրել ինչ-որ մեկին: Այդ դեպքում ի՞նչ տարբերություն իր գործառույթը, կրկնում ենք, հստակ կատարած ոստիկանի ու հետին թվով նրանից այդպիսի պահվածք պահանջողի միջև: Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում է գողացվածի ծավալին ու տեսակին, դա ոչ թե հանցագործությունը կասեցնող ոստիկանի, այլ քննության մարմնի խնդիրն է:
