Հայ մեծանուն գրող, արձակագիր Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի 80-ամյակին նվիրված միջոցառումների շրջանակում նրա անունը կրող դպրոցում տեղի է ունեցել հուշ-ցերեկույթ, որին ներկա են գտնվել Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը, ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարար Հասմիկ Պողոսյանը, Լոռու մարզպետ Արթուր Նալբանդյանը, Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի ընտանիքի անդամները, նաև գրողի մտերիմներն ու ընկերները: Հուշ-ցերեկույթի շրջանակում տեսաշարով ներկայացվել են հատվածներ Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի հարցազրույցներից, որոնք ընդմիջվել են դպրոցի աշակերտների մատուցմամբ մեծ գրողի ստեղծագործություններից հատվածների ներկայացմամբ:
Ներկաներին ուղղված իր ողջույնի խոսքում Երևանի քաղաքապետի տեղակալ Արամ Սուքիասյանը նկատել է, որ հայ մեծանուն գրողի անունը կրող դպրոցում սովորելը ևս մեկ հրաշալի հնարավորություն է օրինակ վերցնելու մտավորականի կեցվածքից, դրսևորումներից և, իհարկե, Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի յուրօրինակ տեսակից:
«Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանը գեղեցիկը կարողացավ զանազանել վաղուց հոմանիշ դարձած սիրուն բառից և գեղեցկորեն ու գեղեցիկի մեջ ներկայացրեց ամենատարբեր երևույթներն ու ամենատարբեր հասկացությունները: Նրա մատուցմամբ գեղեցիկ էր խոտը, բնությունը, ծառը, թուփը, ժայռը, լեռը: Եվ ահա այս գեղեցկության մեջ ամեն մեկն ուներ իր հստակ կերպարը և այդ կերպարայնության մեջ էր, որ Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի գեղեցկությունը թափառում է մեր մտքերում: Թափառում է, որովհետև նրա ստեղծած գեղեցիկ աշխարհը նաև մեծ աշխարհի մեր անկյունն է, որտեղ ամեն մի խոտը, ամեն քարն ու թուփը իր «ես»-ն է ապացուցում աշխարհում: Եվ այս ամբողջության մեջ Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանը ապացուցեց իր «ես»-ը գրականության մեջ, համաշխարհային գրականության և ամենադժվարը՝ մեր ազգի, ժողովրդի մոտ», - ընդգծել է Արամ Սուքիասյանը:
