Վերջապես գոնե մեկ անգամ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը հանդես եկավ ոչ թե «քաղաքագիտական վերլուծությամբ», այլ կառուցողական առաջարկով, որի մեջ իսպառ բացակայում էին «ավազակապետություն», «հանցավոր ռեժիմ», «ռեժիմը խուճապի մեջ է» և նմանատիպ անիմաստ բառերն ու արտահայտությունները:
Որքան էլ տարօրինակ էր, բայց Տեր-Պետրոսյանի Սերժ Սարգսյանին ուղղված՝ «100-ամյա տարելիցի առթիվ Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցը միջազգային ասպարեզում հավուր պատշաճի ներկայացնելու վերաբերյալ» բաց նամակում կային հստակ առաջարկներ, նշված էին հստակ անելիքներ, չկային ավելորդ էմոցիոնալ պոռթկումներ:
Սա, անշուշտ, մեկ քայլ առաջընթաց էր, և ես որևէ վատ բան չեմ տեսնում նրա մեջ, որ որոշ հարցերի շուրջ, այո՛, իշխանությունն ու ընդդիմությունը կարող են համագործակցել, մանավանդ, երբ ԼՏՊ-ի իսկ ասածով՝ խոսքը վերաբերում է համազգային և համապետական նշանակություն ունեցող մի խնդրի, որը «վեր պետք է լինի ներքաղաքական հարաբերությունների ցանկացած նկատառումից»:
Սակայն, այս հնարավոր համագործակցության մեջ վատ բան տեսնողներ, կարծում եմ, այնուամենայնիվ, կլինեն և կլինեն հենց ընդդիմադիր դաշտի ներկայացուցիչներից: Տեր-Պետրոսյանն էլ, այդքանը լավ գիտակցելով, նամակի վերջում նշել է դրա հրապարակման հետևանքով սպասվող «վայնասունի» մասին: Իսկ սպասվող արձագանքը ընդդիմադիր դաշտում մոտավորապես կարող է լինել այնպիսին, ինչպիսին եղավ, օրինակ, ԼՏՊ-ի և ՀԱԿ-ի՝ ԵՏՄ-ին կողմ քվեարկելու ժամանակ: Եթե չենք մոռացել, այդ ժամանակ ընդդիմադիր տարբեր ուժերի միջև լուրջ տարաձայնություններ առաջացան, ինչը բերեց հերթական պառակտմանն ընդդիմադիր դաշտում: Նույնը սպասելի է նաև այս դեպքում, դեռ մի բան էլ ավելի: Այնպես որ, այս տեսանկյունից Տեր-Պետրոսյանի նախաձեռնությունը կարող է խիստ բացասական որակումներ ստանալ շատ ընդդիմադիրների կողմից` հերթական հարվածը հասցնելով ընդդիմադիր դաշտում առկա միասնականության նշույլներին:
