2015թ. մարտի 15-ին տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների հերթական ընտրություններ են նշանակված Արագածոտնի, Արարատի, Արմավիրի, Գեղարքունիքի, Կոտայքի, Շիրակի, Սյունիքի, Վայոց ձորի և Տավուշի մարզերի թվով 33 համայնքներում: Նշված համայնքներից 25-ում տեղի են ունենալու միայն համայնքի ղեկավարի ընտրություններ, 6 համայնքում' ավագանու անդամի ընտրություններ, իսկ երկու համայնքներում էլ' միաժամանակ համայնքի ղեկավարի և ավագանու անդամի ընտրություններ: Բոլոր համայնքերում միասին առաջադրման փաստաթղթեր էին ներկայացրել 134 քաղաքացիներ, որոնցից 66-ը համայնքի ղեկավարի ընտրություններին մասնակցելու համար, իսկ 68-ը' ավագանու անդամի:
2015թ. փետրվարի 18-ին լրանում էր թեկնածուների գրանցման ժամկետը: Մինչև թեկնածուների գրանցումը առաջադրման փաստաթղթեր ներկայացրած 134 քաղաքացիներից 6-ը ներկայացրել էին դիմումներ' առաջադրման փաստաթղթերը հետ պահանջելու վերաբերյալ: Մնացած քաղաքացիների' որպես թեկնածու գրանցվելու դիմումները բավարարվել են, և որևէ գրանցում չի մերժվել:
Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ընտրական օրենսգրքի համաձայն, եթե համայնքի ղեկավարի ընտրության ժամանակ թեկնածուների գրանցման համար սահմանված ժամկետում և կարգով թեկնածու չի գրանցվել, կամ նույն ժամկետում գրանցված թեկնածուների թիվը պակաս է 2-ից, ապա համայնքի ղեկավարի ընտրությունը համարվում է չկայացած:
Թիվ 28 ընտրատարածքային ընտրական հանձնաժողովի որոշմամբ' 2015 թվականի մարտի 15-ի Կոտայքի մարզի Գետարգել համայնքի ղեկավարի ընտրությունը համարվել է չկայացած, քանի որ գրանցվել է միայն մեկ թեկնածու:
Նշված համայնքում ՀՀ ընտրական օրենսգրքի պահանջներին համապատասխան կնշանակվի նոր ընտրություն:
