Տարածաշրջանային այցի շրջանակներում Հայաստան այցելած Եվրոպայի և Եվրասիայի հարցերով ԱՄՆ փոխպետքարտուղար Վիկտորյա Նուլանդը կոչ է արել պատկան մարմիններին՝ որպես դրական ժեստ, Ադրբեջանին վերադարձնել ադրբեջանցի երկու դիվերսանտներին:
Սպասելի էր, որ ամերիկացի բարձրաստիճան դիվանագետի հայտարարություն-կոչը հասարակության բացասական արձագանքին էր արժանանալու, քանի որ հրադադարի պայմանագրի կնքումից ի վեր, դժվար է հիշել դեպքեր, երբ Ադրբեջանը նման հումանիտար ժեստ ցուցաբերած լիներ հայկական կողմի նկատմամբ:
Ավելին, դեռ չեն սպիացել, նախորդ տարի, հայկական ուղղաթիռի խոցումից հետո, զոհվածների դիերի դուրս բերման հետ կապված փաստը, երբ ադրբեջանական կողմը, կրակի տակ պահելով խոցված ուղղաթիռը, անտեսում էր հումանիտար ու բարոյական բոլոր նորմերը:
Արդյունքում հայկական հատուկ նշանակության զորքերը, խնդիրը կատարեցին՝ հատուկ օպերացիայի միջոցով:
Մյուս կողմից, պարզ չէ, թե ի՞նչ է նշանակում կոչը՝ Ադրբեջանին հանձնել դիվերսանտներին, ի՞նչ է նրանց սպասվում Ադրբեջանում, ազատ արձակո՞ւմ, պարգևնե՞ր, հերոսացո՞ւմ:
Միգուցե, Վիկտորյա Նուլանդի կոչը տեղավորվում է բանակցային գործընթացում ներկայումս ընթացող զարգացումների տրամաբանության մեջ, որի մանրամասներին հասկանալի կերպով չի տիրապետում հասարակ քաղաքացին, սակայն այն որևէ ձևով ընկալելի չէ հանրության համար:
Ի վերջո, լսելի չէր միջազգային հանրության կոչերը՝ Քարվաճառում, այդ դիվերսանտների մասնակցությամբ տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչության, առավել ևս, խոցված հայկական ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմի ճակատագրի վերաբերյալ:
