«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Հայ ազգային կոնգրեսի նախագահ Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը երեկ հանդես է եկել հերթական հոդվածով: Այն վերնագրված է «Սրտիս պարտքը», եւ դրանում Տեր-Պետրոսյանը փորձում է վերլուծել, թե վերջին տարիներին ինչ տեղի ունեցավ ԲՀԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի հետ:Տեր Պետրոսյանը քննադատում է Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին քննադատողներին եւ չարախնդացողներին եւ բարձր է գնահատում վերջին տարիների նրա քաղաքական գործունեությունը՝ նկատելով, որ Ծառուկյանի ձախողման պատճառը քաղաքական փորձի պակասն էր ու ԲՀԿ-ում մի խումբ խառնակիչների գոյությունը, որոնց անունները Տեր-Պետրոսյանը չի ուզում տալ:
Ընթերցողը նկատեց, թերեւս, որ այս ոճը շատ է նման մահախոսականի: Չմտածեք, թե սա պատահականություն է. Տեր-Պետրոսյանը այս հոդվածով մոտավորապես ասում է, թե Ծառուկյանի հիշատակը վառ կմնա մեր սրտերում, չի կարելի նրա մասին վատ բաներ ասել: Հենց սրանում է հոոդվածի ամենակարեւոր իմաստը. Վերջին շրջանի քաղաքական իրադարձությունների մասին Հայ ազգային կոնգրեսի նախագահը խոսում է դիտորդի նման, կարծես ինքն այդ ամենի հետ որեւէ կապ չի ունեցել, այլ ընդամենը որպես պատմաբան ու քաղաքագետ հետեւել է պրոցեսին:
Տեր-Պետրոսյանը թվացյալ վեհանձն ձեւով պաշտպանում է Ծառուկյանին, իրականում ինքն իրեն է պաշտպանում, որովհետեւ գիտի՝ ԲՀԿ նախագահին ուղղված էմոցիաների պարպումից հետո հարցերի հասցեատերը ինքն է դառնալու որպես ներքաղաքական կաշայի հիմնական հեղինակ: Բայց հիմա նա «քաղաքական մահախոսական» է գրել Ծառուկյանի մասին, որովհետեւ մտածում է, որ եթե Ծառուկյանին քաղաքականապես թաղի, իր ու իր ղեկավարած ՀԱԿ-ի գործունեության հետքերն էլ հետն է թաղելու:
Տեր-Պետրոսյանն այս հարցում չարաչար սխալվում է. Ծառուկյանի քաղաքականության մեջ դրսեւորվելու թեկուզ տեսական, բայց չնչին շանսեր դեռեւս ունի: Ինչ վերաբերում է Տեր-Պետրոսյանին, նրա ժամանակը անցել է վաղուց, չնայած նրա 25-ամյա գործունեության դառնահամը դեռ երկար կմնա քաղաքական մթնոլորտում»:
