Թուրքիային դժգոհեցրել է այն փաստը, որ ամերիկյան հայտնի Starbucks ընկերությունն իր ցանցային խանութներից հեռացրել է հայկական տարազով աղջիկներին թուրքական դրոշի ֆոնին պատկերող պաստառները ու ներողություն խնդրել հայերից: Ի նշան թուրքական կողմի բողոքի` Ադանայի քաղաքապետարանը հրահանգել է քաղաքում Starbucks-ի խանութների վրա փա կցնել թուրքական դրոշները: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը` վկայակոչելով թուրքական T24.com լրատվականը, հրահանգը տվել է անձամբ Ադանայի քաղաքապետ Հուսեյն Սյոզլուն:
Դրոշները փակցվել են սրճարանների ամենաերևացող հատվածներում: Սյոզլուի ձևակերպմամբ` իրենք նման քայլով փորձել են Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարյուրերորդ տարելիցին իրենց հակազդեցությունը ցույց տալ հայկական լոբբիստական կազմակերպություններին և դրանց գործունեությանը:
