Թեև այդ դիվանագիտական լեզու կոչվածը շատ է կաշկանդում գործիչներին և ստիպում է ձևակերպումների մեջ ավելի զգույշ լինել, երբեմն նույնիսկ անուղղակի ձևով ասել ասածը, բայց կարևորը՝ այդ ասածի տեղ հասնելն է, իսկ ԱԺ-ում Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի երեկվա ասածի բովանդակությունը հենց «սիկտիրն էր»՝ կրկին ԱՄՆ պետդեպին: Սա հերթական պատասխանն էր Նուլանդի անասնական առաջարկին:
Այստեղ ես երկու լավ բան եմ տեսնում. առաջինը, որ ԱՄՆ-ը հերթական անգամ մերժողական պատասխան ստացավ և տեսավ, որ «հումանիզմ» կոչվող իր այդ «կտերն» այլևս ուտողներ չկան, և երկրորդը, որ մենք մի պահ զգացինք, որ արտգործնախարար էլ ունենք, թե չէ ուղղակի մոռացել էինք նրա գոյության մասին:
Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի գործունեությունից հիշարժան են, օրինակ, Սվազիլենդի, Վանուատուի և նման մի քանի «հեղինակավոր» պետությունների հետ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատումը: Այլ բաներ հիշել արդեն, կարծես թե, չէր ստացվում, նրա պարտականությունները երբեմն մյուս իշխանավորներն էին կատարում: Եվ ահա վերջապես նա խոսեց` հիշեցնելով, որ Հայաստանն արտգործնախարար ունի: Ես անկեղծորեն ցանկանում եմ, որ նա այդպես էլ շարունակի և սկսի ավելի հաճախ մեզ հիշեցնել ԱԳ նախարար ունենալու փաստը: Հուսանք և սպասենք:
Իհարկե, ցանկալի է, որ նման դեպքերում պատասխաններն ավելի կոշտ լինեն, ավելի ուղիղ ասված, բայց ես չեմ շտապում մեր կողմին մեղադրել, որովհետև միգուցե հանգամանքներն են նման դիվանագիտական լեզվի կիրառում թելադրում: Կարևորը, որ արձագանք եղավ թե՛ ՀՀ-ի, թե՛ ԼՂՀ-ի կողմից, իսկ ադրբեջանցի դիվերսանտներին վերադրաձնելու հարցը կարելի է համարել փակված:
