Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր` մարտի 5-ին, շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել Վազգեն Սարգսյանի ծննդյան 56-ամյակի և «Պատանի երկրապահ» ակումբի սաների երդման արարողության կապակցությամբ:

Շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ երդման արարողության և ձեր կյանքի գեղեցիկ ու նշանակալի այս օրվա առթիվ: Հայրենիքի պաշտպանությանը ծառայելու ձեր ուխտը սրբազան է, և ապագա ունի ձեզ նման պատանիներ ունեցող երկիրը:
Երկրապահ կամավորական միությունը ծնունդն էր այն կամավորական շարժման, որ ծավալվեց Արցախում, Հայաստանում և ողջ աշխարհում, որտեղ հայ կար: Սա հայության արձագանքն էր մեզ պարտադրված պատերազմին և հետևանքը՝ կանոնավոր բանակի բացակայության:
Սիրելի՛ պատանիներ,
Հիշե՛ք, կամավորների սխրանքն անմահ է: Նրանք իրենց նվիրվածությամբ, նաև կյանքի գնով լրացրեցին պետական զինված ուժերի բացակայությունը: Նրանք տվյալ պատմական պահին արեցին անհնարինը, իրենց արյամբ գնեցին այն թանկարժեք ժամանակը, որ անհրաժեշտ էր կանոնավոր բանակ ստեղծելու համար: Նրանք նաև դարձան այդ բանակի հիմքը:
Հիշե՛ք նաև, որ դուք այլևս չեք լինելու «կամավորականներ»: Դուք Հայաստանի Հանրապետության վաղվա զինվորներն ու սպաներն եք: Անկախ նրանից, թե կյանքի ինչ ուղի կընտրեք, համոզված եմ, որ դուք լինելու եք մեր երկրի արժանավոր քաղաքացիներ:
Այսօր Վազգեն Սարգսյանի ծննդյան օրն է՝ խորհրդանշական օր և գեղեցիկ առիթ, որ բոլորս երախտագիտությամբ հիշենք և շնորհավորենք Սպարապետին ծննդյան օրվա կապակցությամբ:
