Ամերիկայի ժողովուրդների համար բոլիվարյան դաշինքի (ALBA) 11 երկրներ կոչ են արել ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբամային՝ չեղյալ հայտարարել այն դեկրետը, որով Վենեսուելան գնահատվում Է որպես «նոր և արտակարգ սպառնալիք» ԱՄՆ-ի անվտանգության համար, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով «Ֆրանսպրես» գործակալությանը:

Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման հրամանագիր Է ստորագրել մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների և քաղաքական ընդդիմախոսների հետապնդումների կապակցությամբ Վենեսուելայի մի խումբ բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների նկատմամբ պատժամիջոցներ սահմանելու մասին:

Դրանք վերաբերել են Վենեսուելայի իրավապահ մարմինների, բանակի և հետախուզության ներկայացուցիչներին: Վենեսուելայի նկատմամբ հայտարարվել Է արտակարգ դրություն, քանի որ հարավամերիկյան այդ երկրի իրադրությունն իբր վտանգ Է ներկայացնում ԱՄՆ-ի համար: Դրանից հետո Վենեսուելայի կառավարությունը «անհապաղ» կոնսուլտացիաներ անցկացնելու համար ԱՄՆ-ից հետ Է կանչել իր գործերի ժամանակավոր հավատարմատարին:

Ըստ ՌԻԱ Նովոստիի՝ ALBA-ի երկրների պետությունների ու կառավարությունների ղեկավարների եզրափակիչ հայտարարության տեքստում ասված Է, որ Վենեսուելան «վտանգ չի ներկայացնում որևԷ երկրի համար, քանի որ այն կապված Է մյուս երկրների հետ և դրսևորել Է տարածաշրջանի ժողովուրդների ու կառավարությունների հետ համագործակցելու իր ցանկությունը»:

ALBA-ի անդամ 11 երկրների հայտարարությունը, որով Վաշինգտոնից պահանջվում Է անհապաղ դադարեցնել «հետապնդումն ու ագրեսիան» Վենեսուելայի նկատմամբ, երկրի նախագահ Նիկոլաս Մադուրոյի կողմից հրապարակվել Է Կարակասում այդ հարցին նվիրված հատուկ գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ:

ALBA միավորմանը անդամակցում են Կուբան, Վենեսուելան, Բոլիվիան, Էկվադորը, Նիկարագուան, Դոմինիկանան, Սենտ Վինսենտը և Գրենադինները, Սենտ Լյուսիան, Գրենադան, Անտիգուան և Բարբուդան, Սենտ Կիտսը և Նևիս Դաշնությունը:

Մարտի 14-ին Հարավամերիկյան ազգերի միությունը (ՈւՆԱՍՈւՐ) դիմել Էր ԱՄՆ-ին՝ պահանջելով չեղյալ հայտարարել այդ երկրի կողմից Վենեսուելայի նկատմամբ սահմանված պատժամիջոցները:
