Նավթի համաշխարհային գների անկման պատճառով ամբողջությամբ նավթից կախված տնտեսությամբ Ադրբեջանի ազգային արժույթի 34 տոկոսով արժեզրկման առաջին զոհը դարձել է այդ երկրի խոշորագույն' Ադրբեջանի միջազգային բանկի (ԱՄԲ) նախագահ, 54-ամյա հաջողակ բանկիր Ջահանգիր Հաջիեւը:
Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնում են ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ները' նշելով, թե ԱՄԲ-ի դիտորդական խորհուրդը հայտնել է, որ բանկը 2001 թվականից ղեկավարող հաջողակ նախագահը, իբր, պաշտոնից ազատվել է «առողջական վիճակի պատճառով»:
ԱՄԲ-ն հանդիսանում է Ադրբեջանի խոշորագույն եւ միակ բանկը, որի բաժնետոմսերի վերահսկիչ փաթեթը պատկանում է պետությանը:
2013 թվականի արդյունքներով' ԱՊՀ տարածքում խոշորագույն բանկերի վարկանիշում ԱՄԲ-ն զբաղեցրել էր 31-րդ տեղը, ինչը համարվում է նրա հաջողության ապացույցը:
2008-2009 թվականների ճգնաժամից հետո ԱՄԲ-ի նախագահի կողմից առաջարկվող նախաձեռնությունները պաշտպանություն չեն գտել Ադրբեջանի նախագահի եւ ֆինանսների նախարարության կողմից, եւ նրա ներկայիս հրաժարականը համարվում է օրինաչափ:
Արտասահմանյան ներդրողները, ավանդատուները, անցյալ տարի նավթի գների անկումն սկսվելու պահից արդեն զգում էին Ադրբեջանում վրա հասնող ֆինանսական ճգնաժամը եւ սկսել էին հանել իրենց փողերը բանկից, ինչը հարյուր միլիոնավոր դոլարներ է կազմում:
Չնայած ԱՄԲ-ի վերահսկիչ փաթեթը պատկանում է Ադրբեջանի պետությանը, սակայն այն չի շտապում սեփականաշնորհել բանկը: Ադրբեջանական կառավարությունն անհասկանալի պատճառներով հետաձգել է բանկի կառուցվածքի վերանայման, բարեփոխման եւ սեփականաշնորհման ճանապարհային քարտեզը, որը Արժույթի միջազգային հիմնադրամը նախապատրաստել էր դեռեւս 2012 թվականին:
2014 թվականի հուլիսի 1-ի դրությամբ Ադրբեջանում գործում են 46 բանկ: Ներկա դրությամբ Ադրբեջանի բանկերի ակտիվների' ՀՆԱ-ի նկատմամբ ցուցիչը գտնվում է մոտ 30 տոկոս հարաբերական ցածր մակարդակի վրա:
Ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ներն ավելի վաղ հայտնել էին, որ մանաթի արժեզրկման եւ նավթի գների անկման շարունակման պատճառով Ադրբեջանի բազմաթիվ բանկեր կանգնել են սնանկացման եւ փակվելու շեմին: Ներկայում այդ բանկերն իրենց գործունեությունը շարունակելու համար վարկավորման ուղիներ են որոնում աշխարհի հզորագույն բանկերում:
