Մարտի 27-ին Արտերկրի հույների խորհրդի պատվիրակության անդամները Հայաստանում հանդիպեցին հունական համայքնի և տարբեր հասարակական կազմակերպությունների ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Այցի հիմնական նպատակը մարտի 24-ին ՀՀ-ի ԱԺ-ի կողմից ընդունած «Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի կողմից իրականացված հույների և ասորիների ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտելու մասին» հայտարարությունն էր:

Հայաստանում հունական հասարակական կազմակերպությունների նախագահ Արկադի Խիտառովի խոսքերով, միջոցառումը նպատակ ունի, օգտվել արտերկրի հույների խորհրդի պատվիրակության անդամների Հայաստանում գտնվելու հանգամանքից և ծանոթացնել տեղի հունական սփյուռքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ` նպաստելու միջհամայնքային կապերի զարգացմանը, ընդհանուր ծրագրերի քննարկամը:

Արտերկրի հույների խորհրդի պատվիրակության անդամների կազմում են Ֆոտի Չիտլիդիսին, Վադիմ Անաստասիադիին, Սոֆյա Պրոկոպիդուին, Արկադի Խիտարովին, Աննա Խիտարովային, Էդուարդ Պոլատովին և հույն հայտնի պատմաբան Կոնստանտինոս Ֆոտիադիսին: Վերջինս հունական ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ քսաներկու գրքերի հեղինակ է, որոնցից տասնչորհայտորյա աշխատությունը նվիրեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարան-ինստիտուտին և ԱԺ-ին:

Մինչ այդ պատվիրակության անդամները հանդիպել էին ԱԺ փոխնախագահ էդուարդ Շարմազանովի հետ և շնորհակալություն հայտնել ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովին և նախաձեռնության հեղինակներին՝ մարտի 24-ին միաձայն ընդունած «Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի կողմից իրականացված հույների և ասորիների ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտելու մասին» ԱԺ հայտարարության համար:

ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը, ողջունելով պատվիրակությանը, նշել է, որ ԱԺ հայտարարության ընդունումն ինքնանպատակ չի եղել. ճանաչելով հույների եւ ասորիների նկատմամբ Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը՝ Հայաստանի խորհրդարանը դատապարտում է երբևէ իրականացված բոլոր ցեղասպանությունները:

Կողմերը կարևորել են տարբեր ժամանակներում տարբեր ազգերի նկատմամբ իրականացված ցեղասպանությունների ճանաչման, դատապարտման և պատմական արդարության վերականգնման անհրաժեշտությունը:
