Աստրիդ Լինդգրենի հիշատակի 2015 թվականի գրական միջազգային մրցանակը, որը 2003 թվականից ի վեր հանձնվում է մանկական և պատանեկան գրականության զարգացման գործում ներդրած ավանդի համար, շնորհվել է Հարավաֆրիկյան Հանրապետության PRAESA կազմակերպությանը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, մարտի 31-ին Ստոկհոլմում հայտնել է միջազգային ժյուրիի նախագահ Բուել Վեստինը:

PRAESA-ն Հարավային Աֆրիկայի Քեյփթաուն քաղաքում այլընտրական կրթության ուսումնասիրման նախագծի կրճատ անվանումն է: 1992 թվականին նախագիծը վերաճել է PRAESA կազմակերպության, որը երեխաներին օգնում է կարդալ սովորել և չմոռանալ իրենց մայրենի լեզուն:

Կազմակերպությունը սերտորեն գործակցում է գիտնականների ու կամավորների հետ՝ օգտագործելով գրքի ակումբների ստեղծված ցանցը: PRAESA-ի ակտիվիստների շնորհիվ երկրում մի շարք գրքեր են հրատարակվել ամենատարբեր լեզուներով, որոնցով խոսում են Հարավային Աֆրիկայում:

2015 թվականի պարգևին հավակնում էին 61 երկրների 197 թեկնածուներ, որոնց թվում էին մանկական գրողներ, նկարազարդողներ և կազմակերպություններ, որոնք աշխատում են երեխաների հետ: Ինչպես նշում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին, Ռուսաստանից մրցանակին առաջադրվել էին գրող Արտուր Գիվարգիզովը, նկարազարդողներ Սերգեյ Լյուբաևը և Իգոր Օլեյնիկովը, ինչպես նաև մանկական գրքի «Բամպեր» ավտոբուսը:

Աստրիդ Լինդգրենի հիշատակի գրական միջազգային մրցանակը Շվեդիայի կառավարության կողմից հիմնվել է 2002 թվականին հանրահայտ գրողի վախճանվելուց հետո՝ նպատակ ունենալով աջակցել մանկական և պատանեկան գրականության զարգացմանը: Պարգևի հիմնումը դարձել է նաև Աստրիդ Լինդգրենի ճանաչման և նրա նկատմամբ խորը հարգանքի հավաստումը, ով այսօր էլ մնում է ամենասիրելի ու ընթերցվող գրողը ինչպես Շվեդիայում, այնպես էլ նրա սահմաններից դուրս: Աստրիդ Լինդգրենի գրքերը թարգմանված են աշխարհի ավելի քան 90 լեզուներով:

Այսօր ALMA (The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award) մրցանակը խոշորագույններից մեկն է համարվում միջազգային այն պարգևների թվում, որոնք հանձնվում են երեխաների ու դեռահասների համար գրականության բնագավառում: Դրամական պարգևատրման գումարը կազմում է 5 մլն շվեդական կրոն (700 հազար ԱՄՆ-ի դոլար):

Պարգևին արժանացածի անունն ամեն տարի Շվեդիայում հայտարարվում է մարտի վերջին: 2014 թվականի համար մրցանակը հանձնել են շվեդ գրող Բարբրա Լինդգրենին:
