Ինչպես հայտնում է Orer.am-ը, Հյու Ջեքմանը կմարմնավորի Պողոս առաքյալին Warner Bros ստուդիայի նոր ֆիլմում: Այս մասին իր աբյուրներին հղում անելով՝ գրում է Deadline-ը: Ավստրալացի դերասանը լինելու է նաև ֆիլմի պրոդյուսերը Բեն Աֆլեքի և Մեթ Դեյմոնի հետ միասին, որոնք վերահսկելու են նախագիծն իրենց համատեղ Pearl Street ստուդիայի միջոցով:

Պողոս առաքյալը ծնունդով Կիլիկիայի Տարսոն քաղաքից էր, որի համար էլ կոչվել է Տարսոնացի։ Հրեական անունը Սավուղ՝ հունական ձևով Սողոս։ Հռոմի քաղաքացի էր, կրթությամբ ու դավանանքով՝ փարիսեցի, արհեստով՝ վրանագործ։Ելնելով հայրենի օրենքի և ավանդույթի հանդեպ նախանձախնդրությունից՝ հալածել է քրիստոնյաներին, նրանց մատնել աքսորի և սպանության։ Մասնակցել է Ստեփանոս Նախավկայի քարկոծման միջոցով սպանությանը, որից հետո որոշել է շարունակել քրիստոնյաների դեմ պայքարը Հրեաստանից դուրս։

Ըստ «Գործք Առաքելոցի»՝ Պողոսը Դամասկոս մեկնելու ճանապարհին տեսիքլի միջոցով հանդիպել է հարուցյալ Հիսուսին, որը նրան կարգել է հեթանոսների առաքյալ։Հիսուսին` որպես Աստծո Որդի և Փրկիչ ընդունելուց հետո, նա «Սուրբ Հոգով լցված», քարոզել է Դամասկոսում, Երուսաղեմում, Անտիոքում, Կիպրոսում, Պամփյուլիայում, Լյուստրիայում (Իկոնիոն), Փռուգիայում, Հունաստանում, Հռոմում և այլուր՝ ենթարկվելով բազում հալածանքների, չարչարանքների, աքսորի, բանտարկության և այլն։Պողոս առաքյալը հեղինակ է Նոր Կտակարանի կանոնի մաս կազմող 14 առաքելական թղթերի, որոնք Ընդհանրական եկեղեցին դիտում է որպես ուղեցույց թղթեր՝ Քրիստոսի վարդապետության ճշգրիտ ընկալման առումով։

Դրանք ուղղված են հռոմեացիներին, կորնթացիներին, եբրայեցիներին, հեթանոս նորադարձներին և սփյուռքի հավատացյալ հրեաներին։ Պողոս առաքյալի թղթերը համարվում են քրիստոնեական մտքի ռահվիրանները՝գրած ավելի վաղ, քան Ավետարանները։

Ըստ ավանդության` Պողոս առաքյալը նահատակվել է Հռոմում, 67 կամ 68 թ-ին՝ Ներոն կայսեր օրոք, գլխատվել է՝ ընդունելով մարտիրոսական պսակ։

Նկատենք, որ 2014-ին  աստվածաշնչյան թեմայով թողարկվեց 2 հոլիվուդյան ֆիլմ՝ «Նոյ»և «Ելք: Թագավորներ և աստվածներ»: Չնայած նրան, որ ֆիլմերի վրա աշխատել էին հոլիվուդյան լավագույն ռեժիսորներից  ու դերասաններից շատերը, դրանք այդքան էլ մեծ հաջողություն չունեցան:  

Առաջինը համաշխարհային շուկայից ստացավ 363 միլիոն դոլար, իսկ երկրորդը՝ 268 միլիոն՝ չվերադարձնելով ֆիլմերի վրա ծախսած գումարները: «Պողոս առաքյալ»-ը ֆիլմի ժամկետները դեռ չեն հրապարակվել:
