Հայաստանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպան Քեթի Լիչը հույս ունի, որ իր երկրում կայացած խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից հետո ձևավորվող նոր կառավարությունը կշարունակի սերտ համագործակցությունը Հայաստանի հետ: «Հույս ունեմ, որ այն աշխատանքը, որ կատարել եմ վերջին երեք տարվա ընթացքում, կշարունակվի: Ես արել եմ այն, ինչ կարող էի: Մեր հիմնական նպատակն էր զարգացնել հարաբերությունները, այցելություններ կազմակերպել, և ես հույս ունեմ, որ Լոնդոնը կշարունակի Երևանի հետ համագործակցությունը»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց նա:

Դեսպանը նշեց, որ Պահպանողական կուսակցության վերընտրվելուց հետո երկրում փոփոխությունները կշարունակվեն:

«Պահպանողականները մի շարք առաջնահերթություններ ունեն: Կան ծրագրեր և դրանցից մեկն էլ ԵՄ-ից Միացյալ Թագավորության դուրս գալու վերաբերյալ հանրաքվեի անցկացումն է, և մենք կարծում ենք, որ այդ հանրաքվեն կանցկացվի 2017 թվականին»,- ասաց դեսպանը:

Հարցին, արդյո՞ք Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Օլանդի հրավերն ու հարցի առնչությամբ քննարկման անցկացումը կստիպեն վարչապետին փոխել իր մտադրությունը, դեսպանն ասաց, որ Եվրամիությունից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալու հարցը լուրջ բանավեճերի առիթ է իր երկրում, և վարչապետը հայտարարել է, որ կընդունի այն որոշումը, որը կցանկանա ժողովրդի մեծամասնությունը:
