Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար Ասադը Khabar TV իրանական հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել Է, թե չԷր դանդաղի պաշտոնաթողության հարցում, եթե դա կարողանա լուծել երկրում տիրող ճգնաժամը, բայց, որոշումը պետք Է ընդունի Սիրիայի ժողովուրդը, տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրես-ը:

«Պաշտոնից հեռացնելու որոշումն ընդունում Է միայն ժողովուրդը: Ուստի ես ասում եմ ընդդիմությանը՝ եթե դուք ձեզ իրավացի եք համարում, ինչու չեք կարողանում դրանում համոզել Սիրիայի ժողովրդին, նա պետական ինստիտուտների, ընտրությունների միջոցով կորոշի՝ ով Է լինելու նախագահը»,-ասել Է նա:

«Ես մեկ անգամ եւս ասում եմ, որ եթե իմ հեռացումը լուծում Է, ես, անկասկած, դա կանեմ»,-ընդգծել Է Ասադը հարցազրույցում, որի տեքստը հրապարակել Է սիրիական ՍԱՆԱ գործակալությունը:

Ասադը նաեւ նշել Է, որ ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարում Ռուսաստանի, Սիրիայի, Իրանի եւ Իրաքի փոխգործակցությունն անհրաժեշտ Է տարածաշրջանն ավերումից փրկելու համար: «Ռուսաստանից, Սիրիայից, Իրանից եւ Իրաքից բաղկացած կոալիցիան պարտավոր Է հաղթել, այլապես տարածաշրջանը կավերվի»,-ասել Է նա: Նրա համոզմամբ, այդ փոխգործակցությունը թույլ կտա «իրական արդյունքների» հասնել ահաբեկչության դեմ մղվող պայքարում:  

Սիրիայի նախագահը հայտարարել Է, որ իր երկրում Ռուսաստանի ռազմատիեզերական ուժերի գործողության անցկացման ժամկետը կախված կլինի իրադարձությունների զարգացումից, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին
