Մեզ հասած տեղեկություններով` վիճաբանությունը սկսվել է այն բանից հետո, երբ Կարապետյանը սկսել է հայհոյանքներով խոսել եւ պահանջել 4 մլն դոլար պարտքը: Խոսակցությունը վերածվել է քաշքշուկի, որից հետո Ղարագյոզյանը հանել է ատրճանակը, հնչել է կրակոց:

Նախ գնացել են նրա տուն, հնարավոր բոլոր վայրերը, որտեղ նա կարող էր տեսականորեն լինել, սակայն չեն գտել նրան: Միայն հաջորդ օրը` առավոտյան, նա գտնվեց իրեն պատկանող քարի արտադրամասում՝ ինքնասպան եղած»:
