ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հետաքրքրվել է Պուերտո Ռիկոն Գրենլանդիայի հետ փոխանակելու հնարավորությամբ։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ Ներքին անվտանգության նախարարության նախկին աշխատակից Մայլզ Թեյլորը MSNBC հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում:

«2018 թվականի օգոստոսին ուղևորության ընթացքում Թրամփն, իրականում, հայտնել է, որ ցանկանում է իմանալ՝ կարո՞ղ ենք արդյոք Պուերտո Ռիկոն փոխանակել Գրենլանդիայի հետ»,- ասել է նա։

Նախարարության նախկին աշխատակիցն ընդգծել է, որ Թրամփի խոսքով՝ «Պուերտո Ռիկոն կեղտոտ վայր է, իսկ մարդիկ՝ աղքատ»։

«Ես դա որպես կատակ չեմ ընդունել»,- նշել է Թեյլորը:

Ավելի վաղ ներքին անվտանգության նախարարի նախկին պաշտոնակատար Էլեյն Դյուկը The New York Times-ին տված հարցազրույցում պատմել էր, որ 2017 թվականին փոթորկից հետո, որն ամենամեծ վնասն է հասցրել Պուերտո Ռիկոյին, Թրամփը վրդովված ակնարկել է ազատվել «այդ ակտիվից»՝ հետաքրքրվելով, թե արդյոք չեն կարող վաճառել այն։

Հիշեցնենք, որ 2019 թվականին The Wall Street Journal-ը նյութ էր հրապարակել առ այն, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը բազմիցս իր օգնականներին հարցրել է Գրենլանդիայի՝ Դանիայի ինքնավար տարածքի գնման հնարավորության մասին:

Ինչպես պարբերականին պատմել էին Թրամփի երկու օգնականները, նա բազմիցս հարցրել էր նրանց և մյուսներին՝ հնարավոր է արդյոք գնել այն, նա նույնիսկ խնդրել էր Սպիտակ տան իրավախորհրդատուին գնման վերաբերյալ իրավական ուսումնասիրություն կատարել:

Հետագայում Թրամփը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում անձամբ էր հաստատել այդ տեղեկությունը: Գրենլանդիայի` ԱՄՆ-ին վաճառելու հնարավորությունը մեկնաբանել էր նաև Դանիայի վարչապետ Մետտե Ֆրեդերիկսենը:

«Գրենլանդիան Դանիայինը չէ։ Գրենլանդիան Գրենլանդիայինն է: Ես իսկապես հույս ունեմ, որ այս ամենն անմիտ կատակ է»,- հայտնել էր նա:

Նշենք, որ Գրենլանդիան երկրագնդի ամենախոշոր կղզին է, զբաղեցնում է ավելի քան 2 միլիոն ք/կմ տարածք։ Կղզու արտաքին քաղաքականությամբ և անվտանգության ապահովմամբ զբաղվում է Կոպենհագենը։
