Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ-ից փախստականների խնդիրները փակուղու մեջ են. գերտրությունները մինչ օրս շարունակում են չճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, Արցախի ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը, հայ փախստականների կարգավիճակը և վերջապես Բաքվի և Սումգայիթի ջարդերն` իբրև ցեղասպանություն: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարյուրամյա տարելիցին ընդառաջ Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ-ից փախստականների համագումարի նախագահության կազմակերպած քննարկմանն այս մասին հայտնեց նախագահության անդամ, համակարգող Մարիամ Ավագյանը:
«Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարյուրամյակի շեմին Եվրոպայում ու Մերձավոր Արևելքում ընթացող իրադարձությունները նոր աղբյուր են դարձել ցեղասպան ռեժիմների բռնկման համար, որոնց օղակը սեղմվում է հայության շուրջ: Իբրև ժողովուրդ, մենք անմասն ենք մեծ քաղաքական խաղերից ու ինտրիգներից, սակայն, ինչպես հարյուր տարի առաջ, այնպես էլ այսօր ակամա հայտնվել են իրադարձությունների շրջանակում»,- ասաց Ավագյանը:
Նախագահությունը մասնավորապես դատապարտում է գերտերությունների և հատկապես Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահող երկրների դիրքորոշումը հարցի շուրջ: «Չեն դատապարտում Բաքվի ռեժիմի ցեղասպան քաղաքականությունը և Ադրբեջանին չեն ճանաչում իբրև ագրեսոր»,-հավելեց նա` ընդգծելով, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը հայ ժողովրդի ոչ թե անցյալի կամ պատմական խնդիր է, այլ ներկայի ու ապագայի անվտանգության: Դրա չճանաչելը և չդատապարտելը քարտ բլանշ է նորանոր ցեղասպանությունների համար և վտանգում է աշխարհի խաղաղությանը:
Ինչ վերաբերում է ադրբեջանահայ փախստականների խնդիրներին, ապա Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ-ից փախստականների համագումարը բազմիցս նամակներով դիմել է ՄԱԿ-ի փախստականների երևանյան գրասենյակ` ուղղված ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Պան Կի Մունին, փախստականների հարցերով գլխավոր հանձնակատարին: Առանձին նամակներ են ուղարկվել Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահներին, Հայաստանում օտարերկրյա երկրների դեսպանատներին` պահանջելով վերականգնել Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ հայ փախստականների իրավունքները, նրանց ներգրավել բանակցային գործընթացում, 660 հազար Ադրբեջանից հայ փախստականների վ երադարձի հարցը դնել միջազգային բանակցությունների սեղանին, սակայն որևէ արձագանք չեն ստացել:
