Արցախի նախագահի խորհրդական Դավիթ Բաբյանը Հ1-ին տված հարցազրուցում   նշել է իրավիճակը սահմանին գրեթե նույնն է, հակառակորդը ճակատի ամբողջ երկայնքով փորձում է ճեղքել մեր պաշտպանական դիրքերը: «Հատկապես ծանր մարտեր են տեղի ունեցել հյուսիսում, հյուսիսարևելյան շրջաններում և հարավում: Այս գիշեր շատ արդյունավետ է գործել Պաշտպանության բանակը: Բոլոր ոտնձգությունները կասեցվել են: Ավելին՝ հակառակորդի բավականին մեծ խումբ՝ զինված ամեն ժամանակակից տեխնիկայով, այդ թվում՝ նաև հրթիռներով, համապատասխան տեխնիկայով և համակարգերով, փորձել է իր համար առավել նպաստավոր դիրք գրավել, որպեսզի հետո սկսի հարձակումը Շուշիի ուղղությամբ: Երեկ այդ ամբողջ խմբավորումը ոչնչացվել է: Ամբողջ Ստեփանակերտը տեսնում էր այդ հրավառությունը: Մեր հրետանին այնպես է գործել, որ նույնիսկ օրինակելի է: Կարելի է ասել, որ առաջին գրոհը Շուշիի վրա Պաշտպանության բանակն արդյունավետորեն կասեցրել է՝ թշնամուն պատճառելով մարդկային և զինտեխնիկայի հսկայական կորուստներ»,- նշեց Բաբայանը: Կրած կորուստներից հետո թշնամին տեղ-տեղ մի փոքր ավելի թուլացրել է հարձակողական էներգիան, բայց Պաշտպանության բանակը շատ զգոն է և պատրաստ է ոչնչացնել ցանկացած ոտնձգություն: «Պաշտպանության բանակը նաև շատ հզոր հակահարվածներ է հասցրել և հակագրոհներ իրականացրել: Այսպես լինելու է միշտ: Արցախը կա, կանգուն լինելու է ,և մինչև վերջ մենք պայքարելու ենք, որովհետև սա ոչ միայն Արցախի ճակատագիրն է, սա Մայր Հայաստանի, հայության ու հայոց պետականության ճակատագիրն է»,- նշեց ԱՀ նախագահի խորհրդականը:
