Հունիսի 20-24-ը Վատիկանում տեղի ունեցավ Կաթոլիկ Եկեղեցու և Արևելյան Ուղղափառ նախաքաղկեդոնական Եկեղեցիների միջև աստվածաբանական երկխոսության միացյալ ժողովի 18-րդ հանդիպումը:

Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսի օրհնությամբ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածինը ներկայացրեցին Արևմտյան Եվրոպայի Հայրապետական պատվիրակ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Խաժակ արքեպիսկոպոս Պարսամյանը և Կենտրոնական Եվրոպայի Հայրապետական պատվիրակ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Տիրան եպիսկոպոս Պետրոսյանը։ Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Կաթողիկոսությունից ժողովին մասնակցում էին Կաթողիկոսության Քրիստոնեական դաստիարակության բաժնի պատասխանատու Գերաշնորհ Տ. Մակար եպիսկոպոս Աշգարյանը և միաբանության անդամ Հոգեշնորհ Տ. Պողոս ծայրագույն վարդապետ Թինքճյանը:
Վերջին երկու տարիներին համավարակով պայմանավորված առցանց ժողովներից հետո, սույն հանդիպման ընթացքին վերջնական տեսք ստացավ եկեղեցու յոթ խորհուրդների մասին ժողովի մոտեցումներն ամփոփող և կատարված աշխատանքի մասին զեկուցող միացյալ հայտարարությունը, որն ստորագրվեց համաատենապետների կողմից։ Եկեղեցու յոթ խորհուրդների մասին եզրակացությանը հաջորդեց Մարեմաբանության քննարկումը, որը պիտի շարունակվի նաև հաջորդ հանդիպման ժամանակ:

Ժողովի մասնակիցները նաև առիթ ունեցան հանդիպելու Նորին Սրբություն Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապին և ստանալու Հռոմի սրբազան քահանայապետի օրհնությունը։ Նորին Սրբություն Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ անդրադարձ կատարվեց տարված աշխատանքներին, ընդգծվեց դրանց կարևորությունը, ինչպես նաև ներկայացվեց աշխատանքային ծրագրերի մասին ձևավորված միասնական տեսլականը:
Ժողովի վերջին նիստի ժամանակ որոշվեցին հաջորդ տարվա հանդիպման օրը և ներկայացվելիք ուսումնասիրությունների նյութերը։ Հաջորդ ժողովը տեղի կունենա Եգիպտոսում։
