Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի Միացյալ Թագավորության Նյուպորտ քաղաքում Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր մասնակցել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ ու Աֆղանստանում միջազգային անվտանգության աջակցության ուժերի /ISAF/ առաքելության մասնակից գործընկեր երկրների պետությունների և կառավարությունների ղեկավարների հանդիպմանը, որն անցկացվել է Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակներում:
Ինչպես հայտնում են ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմից՝ ՆԱՏՕ-Անվտանգության աջակցության միջազգային ուժեր ձևաչափով վերջին այս hանդիպմանն ամփոփվել են Աֆղանստանում միջազգային անվտանգության աջակցության ուժերի առաքելության արդյունքները և նախանշվել նոր՝ «Հաստատակամ աջակցություն» առաքելության ուղղությունները:
Սերժ Սարգսյանը հանդես է եկել ելույթով: Հանրապետության Նախագահը նախ՝ ողջունել է հյուրընկալ երկրի՝ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Դեյվիդ Քեմերոնին, ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Անդերս Ֆոգ Ռասմուսենին, հանդիպման մասնակիցներին, այդ թվում` աֆղան գործընկերներին:
«Որպես ՆԱՏՕ-ի գործընկեր և միջազգային անվտանգության ապահովմանն իր մասնակցությունը բերող պետություն` Հայաստանը 2010թ. փետրվարից ներգրավվեց Աֆղանստանի Միջազգային անվտանգության աջակցության ուժերում՝ մեկ տարի անց` 2011թ. հուլիսին, եռապատկելով իր զորախմբի թվաքանակը: Անցած չորս ու կես տարիների ընթացքում հայ խաղաղապահները Միջազգային անվտանգության աջակցության ուժերի շրջանակներում ձեռք բերեցին փոխգործակցության անգնահատելի փորձ: Հատուկ կառանձնացնեմ Գերմանիայի հետ Հայաստանի արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը, որը, վստահաբար, ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ և գործընկեր երկրների փոխգործակցության լավագույն և ուսանելի օրինակ է»,-ասել է Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
Հանրապետության Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանում լավ գիտեն թե´ անվտանգության, թե´ խաղաղության գինը։ Սերժ Սարգսյանի խոսքով, դրանց համար մեր երկիրն ստիպված է պայքարել գրեթե ամեն օր։ «Վաղը այստեղ, այս նույն դահլիճում փաստաթուղթ է ընդունվելու, որը կապ ունի իմ ժողովրդի անվտանգության ու մեր տարածաշրջանի խաղաղության հետ։ Երկու տարբերակ կա. կա´մ կընդունվի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորմամբ զբաղվող միակ մասնագիտացված միջազգային կառույցի՝ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի բառապաշարը, որն այստեղ առաջարկվում ու պաշտպանվում է համանախագահող երկրների կողմից, այստեղ` ի դեմս ԱՄՆ-ի և Ֆրանսիայի, կա´մ կրկին կանցնի սեփական ժողովրդի աչքում մեր հարևան բռնապետի դեմքը փրկել ցանկացող մեկ այլ անդամ երկրի լոբբինգը, որը, հավատացնում եմ ձեզ, որևէ լավ տեղ չի տանում։ Կա´մ կհաղթեն առողջ բանականությունն ու խաղաղության ձգտումը, կա´մ կրկին լուռ խրախուսված կմնան այլատյացության խորացումը, պատերազմի հռետորությունն ու մարդկային կյանքեր խլող ապագա բոլոր սադրանքները, որոնք այդպես հեշտորեն հրահրում է սեփական զինվորի կյանքին որևէ արժեք չտվող ու նման թղթերից թևեր առնող Ադրբեջանը»,-ընդգծել է Սերժ Սարգսյանը։
