Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում, 2014 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 3-ի դրությամբ, հաշվառվել է 2020 ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահար, որի հետևանքով զոհվել է 192 մարդ, վիրավորվել` 2 հազար 913-ը: Նախորդ տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածի համեմատ ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարների քանակն ավելացել է 221-ով, վիրավորներինը՝ 346-ով, իսկ զոհերի թիվը նվազել է 20-ով: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` այս մասին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն ասաց ՀՀ ՃՈ ծառայության վարչության պետի տեղակալ Արմեն Խաչատրյանը` ընդգծելով, որ նվազել է ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարների հետևանքների ծանրության գործակիցը: «Անցյալ տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածում այն կազմել է 7.6, իսկ այս տարի` 6.5: Սա նշանակում է, որ յուրքանչյուր 1000 տուժածից նախորդ տարվա նշված ժամանակահատվածում զոհվել է 76 մարդ, այս տարի` 65-ը: Ծանրության գործակցի նվազումը պայմանավորված է գիտատեխնիկական առաջնթացով: Ե'վ վիճակագրությունը, և' մեր ուսումնասիրությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ ճանապարհային երթևեկության կանոնների պահպանման նկատմամբ վերահսկողության տեխնիկական միջոցների ներդրումը նպաստել է երթևեկության անվտանգության մակարդակի, ինչպես նաև քաղաքացիների իրավագիտակցության բարձրացմանը»,- ասաց նա:
2012 հունվարի 16-ից Հայաստանում կիրառվում են տեսանկարահանող և լուսանկարահանող արագաչափ սարքեր (հանրապետության տարածքով ՃՈ կողմից տեղադրված է 171 արագաչափ սարք, իսկ Երևանի 90 խաչմերուկներ վերահսկվում են տեսախցիկներով): Եթե 2009թ. Երևան քաղաքում ՃՏՊ պատահարներից զոհվել է 72 մարդ, 2010 թվականին՝ 81, 2011 թվականին՝ 92, ապա 2012 թվականին, երբ սկսվել են օգտագործվել արագաչափ սարքերը միայն Երևանում, գրանցվել է 29 զոհ:
Խաչատրյանը հայտնեց, որ ամբողջ աշխարհում նկատվում է ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարների թվի ավելացում: Մասնավորապես, Հայաստանում ՃՏՊ-ների թվի աճը նա պայմանավորում է տրանսպորտային միջոցների ավելացմամբ և որակական փոփոխությամբ, քանի որ շուկան համալրվել է գերհզոր շարժիչներ ունեցող, արագընթաց մեքենաներով: Նրա խոսքով` տարեկան Հայաստանում ավելանում է միջինում 30 հազար տրանսպորտային միջոց:
Ոստիկանության պետի տեղակալ Սամվել Հովհաննիսյանն իր հերթին նշեց, որ ոստիկանությունում ամեն ոլորտ մոնիթորինգի է ենթարկում լրատվամիջոցների հրապարակումները և քաղաքացիների դիմումները` ծառայությունները բարելավելու, ինչպես նաև հանրությանը հուզող խնդիրներին անդրադառնալու համար: Այսուհետ
