Թուրքիայի Դիարբեքիր նահանգում գտնվող Յենիքյոյ գյուղի եռահարկ տարրական դպրոցի կողքին դեպքի ներքև խորացող խորխորատում, որը հայտնի է Դուդանի անդունդ անունով, 10 հազար զոհված հայեր շարունակում են մնալ անտեսված: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին Washington Post պարբերականում հրապարակած իր նոր հոդվածում գրում է ամերիկահայ հայտնի գրող Քրիս Բոհջալյանը: Հեղինակը պատմում է, որ այդ անդունդում իրենց վերջնական հանգրվանն են գտել Յենիքյոյին կից հայկական Չունքուշ գյուղի շուրջ 10 հազար հայ նախնիները: «1915 թվականի ամռանը թուրքական ժանդարմերիան և քրդերը բոլոր հայերին, ովքեր բնակվում էին հարակից շրջաններում, բերեցին անդունդի մոտ: Այստեղ նրանք սպանեցին կամ սրախողխող արեցին հայերին և դիերը նետեցին անդունդը: Արդյունքում Առաջին համաշխարհային պատերազմի ժամանակ Օսմանյան կայսրությունում բնակվող երեք հայերից մեկը համակարգված կերպոÕ ¾ ոչնչացվեց սեփական կառավարության կողմից. 1.5 միլիոն մարդ: Թուրքիան Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտման երկար պատմություն ունի, բայց թվերը չեն խաբում»,- գրել է Բոհջալյանը:
Մեջբերելով Պոլսո Հայոց պատրիարքարանի տվյալները' 1914 թվականին Դիարբեքիրում (որի մեջ ներառված էին նաև Յենիքյոյն ու Չունքուշը) բնակվում էր 124 հազար հայ, սակայն արդեն 1922 թվականին այստեղ հայերի թիվը նվազել էր 3 հազարի: Բոհջալյանը նշում է, որ ողջ մնացած հայերի սերունդները դաստիարակվել են որպես մուսուլմաններ և երբեմն էլ հանդես են գալիս «ծպտյալների» կարգավիճակով: Նա ցավով արձանագրում է, որ ներկայում Թուրքիայում չկան հուշարձաններ, որոնք կխորհրդանշեն այն անհամար վայրերը, որտեղ տեղի է ունեցել կոտորածը:
«Բայց մենք հիշում ենք: Շատ ականատեսներ կան, շատ հիշողություններ կան: Մեզանից շատերն ուխտագնացություն են կազմակերպում դեպի այնպիսի վայրեր, ինչպիսին է Դուդանի անդունդը' մեր հարգանքի տուրքը մահացածներին մատուցելու համար: Մենք այցելում ենք մնացորդներն ու ավերակներն այն եկեղեցիների, որոնք դեռ 99 տարիա առաջ գործում էին: Մենք խոնարհում ենք մեր գլուխները և աղոթում: Մենք հավաքում ենք այն աղբը, որը կուտակվում է խորանների մոտ: Եվ երբ ես ու իմ ընկերները հարցնում ենք քուրդ գյուղացիներին, թե, ըստ իրենց, ինչ է պատահել Դուդանի անդունդում, սովորաբար նրանց պատասխանը համապատասխանում է շուրջ մեկդարյա ժխտմանն ու մոլորությանը»,- նշել է Բոհջալյանը: Նա իր կասկածներն է հայտնում այն բանի կապակցությամբ, որ հնարավոր է արդեն հաջորդ անգամ, երբ ինքն այցելի Չունքուշ, անդունդը լցված կլինի, իսկ հանցագործության ապացույցները' հավերժ թաղված: «Այնուամենայնիվ, հեգնականն այն է, որ կարիք չկա, որ որևէ մեկը բարդ ուղղություններ ընտրի կամ օգտագործի GPS կոորդինատները Դուդանի 10 հազար մահացածներին հայտնաբերելու համար: Հարկավոր է պարզապես այցելել Յենիքյոյի տարրական դպրոց և կանգնել խաղահրապարակին կից. զոհվ ածներն անմիջապես այդտեղ են»,- եզրափակել է Քրիս Բոհջալյանը:
