Հուլիս-օգոստոսի համեմատությամբ այս պահին հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին եւ ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում իրավիճակը հանգիստ է եւ լարվածության բարձրացում չի նկատվում: ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանի փոխանցմամբ, հակառակորդը շարունակում է խախտել հրադադարի ռեժիմը, սակայն կրակոցներն ավելի քիչ են: «Հայաստանի սահմանին հակառակորդի կողմից արձակված կրակոցները հասցված են նվազագույնի' օրական մի քանի կրակոց, իսկ ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական սահմանին կրակոցների թիվն օրական հասնում է 30-40-ի»,-ասաց Օհանյանը:

1994թ. կնքված հրադադարից հետո Ադրբեջանը պարբերաբար խախտում է հրադադարի ռեժիմն ու տարբեր տրամաչափի զինատեսակներից եւ դիպակուհարից կրակում հայկական դիրքերի եւ սահմանամերձ բնակավայրերի ուղղությամբ: Հայկական կողմը մշտապես հայտարարել է, որ նախահարձակ չէ եւ կողմ է հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանմանն ու խնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորմանը: Հայկական զինված ուժերը պատասխանում են միայն դիպուկահարների կրակոցներին: Հայկական զինված ուժերը բազմիցս հայտարարել են, որ պատրաստ են ետ քաշել դիպուկահարներին, եթե Ադրբեջանն էլ նույն կերպ վարվի, սակայն Ադրբեջանը հրաժարվում է այդ նախաձեռնությունից:

2014 թվականի յոթ ամիսներին հակառակորդի կողմից զինադադարի խախտման շուրջ 18 հազար դեպք է գրանցվել, այնինչ' ամբողջ 2013 թվականին եղել էր միայն 13 հազար դեպք: Այս տարվա հուլիս-օգոստոսին հակառակորդի կողմից եղել են նաև 26 հետախուզադիվերսիոն գործողություններ, որոնցից 15 դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել հուլիսի 25-ից օգոստոսի 3-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում
