Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը Եվրասիական միությանը չպետք է դիտարկել որպես ՆԱՏՕ-ի հետ հարաբերությունների զարգացումը կանխող գործոն: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ' սեպտեմբերի 17-ին «ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովի ազդեցությունը Հայաստանի և Հարավային Կովկասի վրա» թեմայով հանրային քննարկմանը հայտնեց ՀՀ ԱԺ պաշտպանության, ազգային անվտանգության և ներքին գործերի մշտական հանձանաժողովի նախագահ Կորյուն Նահապետյանը:
«Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը Մաքսային միությանը չպետք է դիտարկել որպես Հյուսիս-Ատլանտյան դաշինքի հետ զարգացող հարաբերությունների արդյունվետությունը նվազեցնող կամ կանխող գործոն: Մենք կարծում ենք, որ անդամակցությունը Մաքսային միությանը և, միաժամանակ, երկխոսության զարգացումը եվրոպական երկրների հետ նորից հաստատում է, որ Հայաստանը շարունակում է իր փոխլրացման քաղաքականությունը և ադրյունավետ համագործակցում բոլոր գործընկերների հետ տարբեր ոլորտներում' միաժամանակ կատարելով բոլոր միջազգային պարտավորությունների իրականացումը»,- ն շեց Նահապետյանը:
Ըստ նրա' Հայաստանի ազգային անվտանգության տեսանկյունից կարևոր է, որ Ռուսաստանը և ՆԱՏՕ-ն պահպանեն հաղորդակցության խողովակները: Ուստի, Հայաստանի Հանրապետության արտաքին քաղաքականությունը ուղղված չէ ՆԱՏՕ-ի և Ռուսաստանի միջև ընտրություն կատարելուն:
«Հայաստանը բարձր է գնահատում ՆԱՏՕ-ի հետ գործընկերային հարաբերությունները' միջազգային անվտանգության ապահովման առումով, և հաստատակամ է զարգացնել ներկայիս հարբերությունները և ավելի բարձր մակարդակ տեղափոխել դրանք»,- հավելեց քաղաքական գործիչը:
Հայաստանի մասնակցությունը ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագթնաժողովին Նահապետյանը միանշանակ դրական գնահատեց' նշելով, որ դա քաղաքական, տնտեսական և ռազմական առումներով բխում էր Հայաստանի շահերից:
Ինչ վերաբերում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խնդրին, ապա դրա խաղաղ կարգավորումը ՆԱՏՕ-ի առաջնահերթություններից է' տարածաշրջանի անվտանգության պահպանման տեսանկյունից, ինչի մասին վկայում է Ուելսում ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի, Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի նախագահների հանդիպումը: Թեև ՆԱՏՕ-ն հայտարարել է, որ չի զբաղվում ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման խնդրով, սակայն աջակցում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբին: Այդուհանդերձ' Նահապետյանը նկատեց, որ գագաթնաժողովից հետո Հյուսիս-Ատլանտյան դաշինքի մասնակից երկրների ընդունած հռչակագրում անդրադարձ չի կատարվում ազգերի ինքնորոշման սկզբունքին: «Նման ընտրողական մոտեցումը կարող է էական վնաս հասցնել բանացկային գործընթացին, տարածաշրջանում կայունության հաստատմանը»,- ընդգծեց նա:
Ուելսում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովի ավարտին հրապարակված փաստաթղթում Մոլդովայի եւ Հարավային Կովկասում կոնֆլիկտների կարգավորման վերաբերյալ ներառված ձեւակերպումներն որպես ընդհանրացված եւ ընտրովի մոտեցումներ է գնահատել նաև ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը: Նրա գնահատմամբ' այդ ձեւակերպումները չեն համապատասխանում նաեւ այն որոշումներին, հայտարարություններին, որոնք արվել էին վերջին տարիներին ԵԱՀԿ շրջանակներում:
ՆԱՏՕ-ի 2014 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 4-5-ը Ուելսում կայացած գագաթաժողովին Հայաստանն այս անգամ մասնակցում էր Նախագահի մակարդակով:
