ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի ՀՅԴ խմբակցության քարտուղար Աղվան Վարդանյանը հույս ունի, որ ոչ իշխանական քառյակի մեջ մտնող երեք ուժերը հոկտեմբերի 10-ին նախատեսված հանրահավաքում չեն դնի սահմանադրական բարեփոխումներից հրաժարվելու պահանջը: Այս մասին հայտնեց պատգամավորը լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ: «Որն է լինելու եռյակի պահանջն իշխանություններից հանրահավաքի ժամանակ. ամբողջական իշխանափոխություն, բայց սա ինչ է նշանակում, դժվարանում եմ ասել: Ես վստահ չեմ, որ մեր գործընկեր քաղաքական ուժերը կողմ են փողոցում էսկալացիային, համենայն դեպս ըստ իրենց կատարած հայտարարությունների: Կառավարության հրաժարական, կարծում եմ' չի լինի, այդ փուլը ևս անցել է: Ես կցավեմ ու կափսոսամ, եթե նրանք որոշեն, որ հաղթական պահանջ կարող է լինել սահմանադրական փոփոխություններից հրաժարումը: Մեր կարծիքով' դա մեր երկրի համար կլինի սխալ ընթացք: Չուզենալով երեք ուժերը կնպատսեն իշխանության հետագա դիրքերի ուժեղացմանն ու ամրապնդմանը»,-հայտնեց Աղվան Վարդանյանը:

Խոսելով սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների մասին' ՀՅԴ պատգամավորը վերահաստատեց իր կուսակցության դիրքորոշումը' Հայաստանին պետք է խորհրդարանական համակարգ: «Մեզ համար մի բան ակնհայտ է, որ ներկայիս համակարգը մեր երկրին լավ բանի չի բերել: Անհրաժեշտ է այնպիսի համակարգ ստեղծել, ուր կլինեն հավասարակշռման մեխանիզմներ, ընդդիմությունը կդառնա իշխանության մի մաս, կբացառվի իշխանության վերարտադրման գործընթացը»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ'հայտնեց Աղվան Վարդանյանը' հավելելով, որ վստահ չէ, որ իշխանությունները կողմ կլինեն խորհրդարանական համակարգին: «Դրա համար էլ մենք հանդես կգանք սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների մեր առաջարկություններով: Մենք քառյակի մյուս ուժերին առաջարկեցինք համատեղ մշակել առաջարկությունների այն փաթեթը, որը կստիպեր փոխել ընտրական համակարգը, իշխանությունների վերարտադրվելու ցանկությունը նվազեցնել: Մենք ասում էինք' եկեք միասին քննարկենք ու գտնենք ոսկե միջինը այն առանցքային հարցերի, որոնք պետք է դրվեն իշխանության սեղանին: Այդ պարագայում շատ ավելի ուժեղ կլ իներ մեր բոլորի դիրքորոշումը, ցավոք այդ համաձայնությունը չկարողացանք ունենալ»,-տեղեկացրեց պատգամավորը: Նա նաև հայտնեց, որ քառյակը շարունակելու է համագործակցել բոլոր այն հարցերում, ուր համաձայնություն ունեն:

Սեպտեմբերի 17-ին խորհրդարանական չորս ուժերի նիստից հետո պարզ դարձավ, որ «Բարգավաճ Հայաստան» կուսակցությունը, «Ժառանգությունը» և ՀԱԿ-ը հոկտեմբերի 10-ին հանրահավաք կանցկացնեն: ՀՅԴ-ն չի մասնակցի հանրահավաքին:
