«Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորման զինյալների դիրքերին հասցվող ավիահարվածներն սկսում են ավերել նրանց ենթակառուցվածքը, բայց անհրաժեշտ է ցամաքային գործողություն: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին, հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ-ի Շտաբների պետերի միացյալ կոմիտեի նախագահ Մարտին Դեմփսին:
Նա նշել է, որ ավիահարվածները բավարար չեն ԻՊ-ի դեմ հաղթանակ տանելու համար: Դեմփսիի խոսքով՝ անհրաժեշտ է ընդունել քաղաքական որոշում, իսկ Սիրիայում և Իրաքում հարկավոր է իրականացնել ցամաքային գործողություն:
Ըստ ԱՄՆ-ի գնահատումների, իսլամիստների կողմից գրավված տարածքների ազատագրման գործողության համար կպահանջվի շուրջ 15 հազար մարդ, իսկ այդ մարդկանց վարժեցնելու համար ժամանակ է անհրաժեշտ: Սիրիայում զինյալների դեմ կպայքարեն չափավոր ընդդիմության ստորաբաժանումները, նշել է Դեմփսին:
Մեկ շաբաթ առաջ Դեմփսին հայտարարել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբամային առաջարկելու է ցամաքային գործողություն սկսել Իրաքում և Սիրիայում, եթե ընթացիկ ռազմավարությունը հաջողություն չբերի:
Ներկայումս ԱՄՆ-ը՝ եվրոպական և արաբական երկրների հետ կոալիցիա կազմած, ավիահարվածներ է հասցնում զինյալների դիրքերին: Գործողությանը մասնակցում են կամ մոտ ժամանակներս պլանավորում են դրան միանալ Ֆրանսիան, Դանիան, Նիդեռլանդները, Բելգիան, Մեծ Բրիտանիան: Նաև, ըստ ԶԼՄ-ների տվյալների, կոալիցիայի մեջ մտնում են Հորդանանը, Բահրեյնը, Արաբական Միացյալ Ամիրայությունները, Քատարը, Սաուդյան Արաբիան, հաղորդել է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
