Էբոլա տենդի բուժման համար այն պատրաստուկը, որը մշակել է Ճապոնիայի Toyama Chemical Co. դեղագործական ընկերությունը, «դատելով ըստ ամենայնի, արդյունավետ է»: Այս մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հաղորդել է ճապոնական Կիոդո գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով Ֆրանսիայի զանգվածային լրատվամիջոցները, որտեղ էլ տեղի է ունեցել այդ դեղամիջոցի փորձնական օգտագործումը:

Ճապոնական կողմն առայժմ չի հաստատել այս տեղեկատվությունը:

Ավիգան պատրաստուկի փորձարկումը կատարվել է ֆրանսիացի բուժքրոջ վրա, որն ավելի վաղ վարակվել էր Էբոլա վիրուսով Լիբերիայի համաճարակի գոտում աշխատելու ընթացքում և բուժման համար շտապ վերադարձվել էր հայրենիք: Ներկայում նա գտնվում է Փարիզի արվարձանի Սեն Մանդե զինվորական հոսպիտալում:

Ավիգանը, որը նաև հայտնի է որպես ֆավիպիրավիր, մշակվել է տակավին 1998 թվականին:

Ճապոնիայի նախարարների կաբինետի հոկտեմբերի 3-ի նիստում որոշում է ընդունվել լրացուցիչ 22 մլն դոլար հատկացնել Էբոլա տենդի դեմ պայքարին:

Ճապոնիայի վարչապետ Սինձո Աբեն, սեպտեմբերի վերջին ելույթ ունենալով ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի նստաշրջանում, հայտարարել էր այդ նպատակով 40 մլն դոլար տրամադրելու մասին: Օգնությունը կուղարկվի և կբաշխվի Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության կապուղիներով:

Այդպիսով, այդ մահացու հիվանդության դեմ պայքարում Ճապոնիայի կողմից տրամադրվող անհատույց շտապ օգնության ծավալը կկազմի 62 մլն դոլար, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
