Դիլիջանի ազգային պարկի հարևանությամբ նորակառույց UWC Դիլիջան քոլեջը (Դիլիջանի միջազգային դպրոց) արդեն ունի 96 սան աշխարհի 48 երկրներից: Աշակերտներից 10-ը Հայաստանից են, մնացածն աշխարհի գրեթե բոլոր մայրցամաքները ներկայացնող երկրներից: Այս մասին UWC Դիլիջան քոլեջ լրագրողների կատարած շրջայցի ժամանակ տեղեկացրեց քոլեջի փոխտնօրեն Սալի Նորիսը:
Քոլեջում թեև ուսման տարեկան վարձը 35 հազար դոլար արժե, սակայն, փոխտնօրենի տեղեկացմամբ, քչերն են ամբողջ վարձը վճարում. կրթաթոշակների շնորհիվ աշակերտների մեծ մասը վարձավճարի 10 տոկոսն են միայն վճարում: Սալի Նորիսն ասում է, որ աշակերտների ընդունելությունն իրականացվում է անկախ ծնողների ֆինանսական հնարավորություններից, գումարն այստեղ դեր չի խաղում:
Ընդունելության ժամանակ հաշվի են առնվում ոչ միայն աշակերտների գիտելիքները, այլև նախապատվություն է տրվում այն աշակերտներին, ովքեր պատրաստ են ինչ-որ բան փոխել իրենց շրջապատում, ունեն նորարարական գաղափարներ:
Միջազգային չափանիշներին համապատասխան քոլեջն այսօր ունի 20 ուսուցիչ, որոնցից 4-ը Հայաստանից են: Քոլեջի տնօրեն Ջոն Ֆադըֆութն ասաց, որ ուսուցիչները մեծ պատրաստակամությամբ են համաձայնել աշխատել այստեղ:
“Բոլոր այն առարկաների համար, որոնք այստեղ դասավանդվում են, ուսուցիչներ ունենք: Ուսուցիչների կողմից շատ մեծ հետաքրքրություն կար քոլեջի նկատմամբ, ես ընտրել եմ լավագույններին”,- ասաց տնօրենը:
UWC Դիլիջան քոլեջում ընդունելությունը շարունակվում է, քոլեջի պաշտոնական բացումը տեղի կունենա հոկտեմբերի 11-ին: Առաջիկայում նախատեսվում է ավելացնել քոլեջի հարկաբաժիններն ու աշակերտների թիվը: Քոլեջի աշակերտներն ասում են, որ այստեղ իրենց հնարավորություն է տրվում իրականացնել իրենց երազանքները:
Քոլեջն ունի Դիլիջան համայնքին օգնելու խմբակ: Աշակերտներից բաղկացած խմբակը փորձում է պարզել, թե ինչ խնդիրներ ունեն դիլիջանցիները և հնարավորինս օգտակար լինել նրանց: Օրինակ՝ խմբակը մտածում է Դիլիջանը աղբից մաքրելու և թափոնների կառավարման ծրագրի իրագործման ուղղությամբ:
Ի դեպ, քոլեջում չեն անտեսում հայկական մշակույթն ու հայոց լեզուն: Սալի Նորիսն ասում է, որ ընդունելությունից հետո առաջին երկու շաբաթների ընթացքում տարբեր ազգությունների երեխեներն այստեղ ծանոթացել են հայկական մշակույթին, հայկական պարեր սովորել: Ամեն օր քոլեջի սաները միմյանց ողջունելիս “բարև ձեզ” են ասում և հայերեն են սովորում: Հայերեն դասաժամերն, ըստ փոխտնօրենի, քոլեջի դասացուցակում պարտադիր տեղ են զբաղեցնում:
Քոլեջում ուսուցումը երկու տարով է, Սալի Նորիսի խոսքով, աշակերտներին վեց առարկաների գծով ընտրության հնարավորություն են տալիս: Այստեղ աշակերտները պետք է ընտրեն մայրենի լեզու, երկրորդ լեզու, հումանիտար, գիտական առարկաներ, մաթեմատիկա, ինչպես նաև արվեստի բնագավառին մոտ որևէ առարկա:
“UWC Դիլիջան քոլեջի սաները պետք է լինեն ստեղծարար, ծառայություններ մատուցեն համայնքին, այստեղ նրանք առաջնորդի ունակություններ են ձեռք բերում”,- ասաց նա:
Նշենք, որ UWC Դիլիջան քոլեջը միջազգային համատեղ ուսուցման համալիր է՝ նախատեսված ավելի քան 50 երկրներից աշակերտների համար: Այն անդամակցում է Աշխարհի միացյալ քոլեջներ (UWC) կրթական ցանցին, որի 14 քոլեջներից ու դպրոցներից մեկն է: Այստեղ միջազգային չափանիշներին համատեղ կրթություն են ստանում:
Դիլիջանի զարգացման հիմնադրամի տնօրեն Արթուր Հակոբյանի տեղեկացմամբ՝ հիմնադրամը, որի հիմնադիրները նաև Դիլիջանի միջազգային դպրոցի հիմնադիրներն են, նախատեսում է արդիականացնել Դիլիջանի ենթակառուցվածքներն ու կրթական օջախները: Հիմնադրամի համաֆինանսավորմամբ արդեն վերանորոգվել է Դիլիջանի երաժշտական դպրոցը:
“Մեր համար շատ կարևոր է քաղաքի ենթակառուցվածքների, կրթական ենթակառուցվածքների զարգացումը: Այդ ուղղությամբ շարունակական աշխատանք է տարվում”,- ասաց Արթուր Հակոբյանը:
