Հոկտեմբերի 6-ից տրվեց Էջմիածին քաղաքի տոնական միջոցառումների մեկնարկը: Հիմք ընդունելով 405 թվականի տառերի մուտքն Էջմիածին ու եռօրյա տոնակատարություն անցկացնելը, Էջմիածնում արդեն 6-րդ անգամ եռօրյա տոնակատարություններ կանցկացվեն: Հոկտեմբերի 6-ին' միջոցառումների մեկնարկի առաջին օրը, Էջմիածինն ընդունեց քույր քաղաքների պատվիրակություններին, ովքեր եկել են մասնակցելու քաղաքի տոնին նվիրված միջոցառումներին: Էջմիածնի թիվ 16 մանկապարտեզը վերջին տարիներին հիմնովին վերանորոգվել է քաղաքապետ Կարեն Գրիգորյանի եւ քույր քաղաք Իսի Լե Մուլինոյի քաղաքապետարանի ֆինանսավորմամբ: Եվ ահա, հերթական այցն էր թիվ 16 մանկապարտեզ Իսի Լե Մուլինոյի պատվիրակության հետ: Այստեղ դեռ վերանորոգում է իրականացվում, շուտով պատրաստ կլինի խոհանոցը: Տոնական առաջին օրվա միջոցառումների անակնկալը Արագած թաղամասի 2-րդ շենքի բակում նոր հիմնված խաղահրապարակի բացումն էր: Վերջին տարիների ընթացքում սա թվով 7-րդ հիմնադրված խաղահրապարակն է:

Տոնական մրցաշար էր նաեւ սպորտի բնագավառում: Քաղաքի մարզադպրոցը Էջմիածնի 2699-ամյակի առթիվ հունահռոմեական ըմբշամարտի բաց առաջնություն էր անցկացնում: Առաջնության ներկա էին սպորտի ՀՀ սպորտի և երիտասարդության հարցերի նախարարը, քաղաքապետ Կարեն Գրիգորյանը, ՀՀ վաստակավոր մարզիչներ: Կարեն Գրիգորյանը, ՀՀ սպորտի և երիտասարդության հարցերի նախարարը ողջունեցին առաջնության մասնակիցներին եւ հաջողություն մաղթեցին նրանց: Ի դեպ, քաղաքապետարանի կողմից նաեւ նվերներ էին սպասվում մրցաշարի մասնակիցներին, հաղթողներին:

Եռօրյա միջոցառումների շարքում կարեւորություն է տրվել քաղաքի տարբեր հատվածներում համերգային ծրագրերի անցկացմանը: Համերգներ, տոնական միջոցառումներ կլինեն ոչ միայն կենտրոնական հատվածներում, այլ նաեւ ծայրամասերում: Միջոցառումների առաջին օրը տոնական համերգային ծրագիր էր Զվարթնոցի Արագած թաղամասում: Մշակույթի պալատի երգի պարի խմբերը ուրախ երգ ու պարով տոնական տրամադրություն էին պարգեւում ներկաներին:

Քաղաքի տոնին նվիրված միջոցառումների առաջին օրն Էջմիածնեցիները, հյուրերը, ԵԿՄ անդամները քաղաքապետի գլխավորությամբ այցելեցին նաեւ Զվարթնոց թաղամասի Զոհվածների պանթեոն' հարգանիք տուրք մատուցելու հայրենիքի համար կյանքը զոհած մարտիկների շիրմին:
