Եվրոպական Միությունը հարգում է Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանն անդամակցելու Հայաստանի որոշումը: Այս մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Հայաստանում Եմ պատվիրակության խորհրդական, քաղաքական, տնտեսական, մամուլի և տեղեկատվության բաժնի ղեկավար Դիրկ Լորենցը: «Մենք հարգում ենք Հայաստանի ինքնուրույն որոշումը իր ար տաքին քաղաքական կուրսի ընտրության վերաբերյալ և պատրաստ ենք շարունակել համագործակցությունը այն ուղղություններով, որոնք չեն խոչընդոտի Հայաստանի անդամակցությանը Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանը»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ընդգծեց Լորենցը:

Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության խորհրդականն արդեն հասցրել է ծանոթանալ ԵՏՄ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցության նախագծի այն տարբերակի հետ, որ տարածվել է համացանցում: Նա ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի կառավարությունը իրենց մանրամասն ներկայացնի, թե ինչպիսի հանձնառություններ է նախատեսում ստանձնել ԵՏՄ շրջանակներում, որպեսզի մեզ համար էլ հասկանալի լինի, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանը հստակեցնի, թե ինչ ոլորտներում է ցանկանում համագործակցել Եվրամիության հետ:

Լորենցը նկատեց, որ Հայաստանը և ԵՄ-ն պետք է փորձեն իրավական հիմքեր ստեղծել հետագա համագործակցության համար: «Համագործակցության ներկայիս իրավական հիմքերը ստեղծվել են 1999 թ. և արդեն ժամանակավրեպ են, ուստի հարկավոր է աշխատել նոր հիմքերի վրա, սակայն այդ հիմքերը պետք է ձևավորվեն այն ժամանակ, երբ մենք կիմանանք, թե Հայաստանն ինչ հանձնառություններ է ստանձնում Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանն անդամակցության դեպքում»,- ասաց նա:

Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության ղեկավարը նշեց, որ իրենք զարմացած էին ՄՄ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցության որոշումից, քանի որ Հայաստանը ԵՄ-ի հետ երկար ժամանակ բանակցել էր Ասոցացման համաձայնագրի շուրջ: «Սակայն եկեք նայենք ոչ թե անցյալին, այլ ապագային: Մենք հիմա պետք է տեսնենք, թե ինչպես ենք առաջ շարժվում: Այս դեպքում մենք որևէ հակասություն չենք տեսնում»,- նշեց Լորենցը:

ԵՄ-ն ստիպված է վերանայել Հայաստանում իրականացվող ծրագրերի մեծ մասը, քանի որ դրանք մշակվել են խոր և համապարփակ ազատ առևտրի դրույթների հիման վրա, սակայն սա չի նշանակում, որ Հայաստանում ԵՄ-ի կողմից իրականացվող ծրագրերի նվազում կլինի:
