Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը հանդիպել է «Էրեբունի-Երևան 2796» տոնակատարություններին մասնակցելու նպատակով Երևանում գտնվող Ռիգա քաղաքի պատվիրակության անդամների հետ: Հանդիպմանը ներկա է եղել նաև ՀՀ-ում Լատվիայի Հանրապետության պատվավոր հյուպատոս Արմեն Ղասաբօղլյանը:
Ողջունելով հյուրերին` Երևանի քաղաքապետը նախ շնորհակալություն է հայտնել նրանց հրավերն ընդունելու և Երևանի տոնին մասնակցելու համար՝ ընդգծելով, որ Երևանի ու Ռիգայի միջև ձևավորված բարեկամական ջերմ հարաբերությունները, տարեցտարի էլ ավելի ամրապնդվելով, լավ հիմք են դառնում եղբայրացման համաձայնագրով նախատեսված բոլոր ծրագրերը կյանքի կոչելու համար. «Երևանի և Ռիգայի միջև բարեկամական և գործընկերային հարաբերությունների զարգացումը հիմնված է մեր երկրների և ժողովուրդների բարեկամության վրա, որի ապացույցն են վերջին տարիներին հաճախակի դարձած երկկողմ այցերը: Վստահ եմ, որ մենք կկարողանանք կյանքի կոչել Ռիգայում ստորագրված եղբայրացման մասին համաձայնագրով նախատեսված բոլոր կետերը և իրականացնել տարբեր ծրագրեր՝ ի բարօրություն մեր մայրաքաղաքների: Հուսով եմ, որ հերթական Ձեր այս այցից ևս տպավորված կվերադառնաք Ռիգա», - նշել է Տարոն Մարգարյանը։
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ Ռիգայի քաղաքային խորհրդի պատգամավոր, քաղաքային զարգացման կոմիտեի նախագահ Մաքսիմ Տոլստոյն իր և պատվիրակության անդամների անունից շնորհավորել է ՏարոնՄարգարյանին Երևանի օրվա կապակցությամբ և ընդգծել, որ երկու մայրաքաղաքների միջև առկա ջերմ հարաբերությունները հետզհետե կունենան փոխշահավետ նոր զարգացումներ քաղաքային տնտեսության տարբեր ոլորտներում. «Երևանում, ինչպես միշտ, ընդունելությունն իսկապես ջերմ է, և յուրաքանչյուր անգամ մենք այստեղից հեռանում ենք հրաշալի տպավորություններով: Հենց երկու մայրաքաղաքների միջև ձևավորված այս ջերմ ու բարեկամական հարաբերությունների արդյունքում է, որ մեր համագործակցությունը գնահատում ենք իսկապես հաջողված ու արդյունավետ»,- նշել է Մաքսիմ Տոլստոյը:
