Տնտեսագետ Թաթուլ Մանասերյանը համաձայն չէ կարծիքի հետ, թե Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանն անդամակցությունը հետընթաց է Հայաստանի համար: «Հայաստանի տնտեսական հեռանկարները ԵՏՄ կազմում» խորագրով համաժողովի ընթացքում նա նշեց, որ, ընդհանրապես, իր համար ընդունելի չեն ծայրահեղական կարծիքները: «Մենք պետք է հասկանանք, թե ինչ կարող է տալ այս կառույցին Հայաստանի անդամակցությանը: Ծայրահեղական գնահ ատականներ հնչեցելու փոխարեն կարելի է փորձել հասկանալ ինչպես սպասվող օգուտները, այնպես էլ վնասները, որպեսզի կարողանանք այդ վնասները չեզոքացնելուն ուղղված քայլեր ձեռնարկել»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ասաց Մանասերյանը:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ առաջին հերթին հարկավոր է հասկանալ, թե ինչ ռիսկեր են սպասվում Հայաաստանին ԵՏՄ անդամակցության դեպքում, քանի որ օգուների առումով կարծես թե ամեն ինչ հստակ է: Տնտեսագետի խոսքով՝ սպառնալիքները շատ են, ռիսկերը մեծ են: «Իհարկե, միամտություն կլինի կարծել, թե Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունում մեզ միայն օգուտներ են սպասվում, իսկ բացասական երևույթների չենք հանդիպելու: Սապառնալիքներն ու ռիսկերը շատ են, սակայն մենք պետք է լավատես լինենք, հավատանք, որ ամեն ինչ լավ է լինելու»,- նշեց Մանասերյանը:

Տնտեսագետի խոսքով՝ ԵՏՄ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցությունն այլընտրանք չունի, քանի որ ստեղծված իրավիճակում Հայաստանն ուղղակի չէր կարող մեկուսացված մնալ համաշխարհային գործընթացներից: «Մեզ համար Եվրասիական տնտեսակակն միությանն անդամակցությունը լուրջ մարտահրավեր է: Մենք պետք է կարողանանք ավելի լայն մասշտաբով նայել աշխարհին, դիվերսիֆիկացնել մեր կապերը աշխարհի հետ, հատկապես, երբ կոտրվում են Եվրոպական միության և Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության համագործակցության անհնարինության վերաբերյալ կարծրատիպերը: Թե' Բրյուսելից, թե' Մոսկվայից համագործակցության վերաբերյալ կոչեր են հնչում: Իսկ այս դեպքում Հայաստանը կարող է միայն շահել՝ օգտվելով թե Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության, թե Եվրոպական միության չափանիշներից»,- եզրափակեց Թաթուլ Մանասերյանը:
