2015-2016 թվականների համար ՄԱԿ-ի անվտանգության խորհրդում անցկացված ժամանակաոր անդամության հետ կապված ընտրություններն ավարտվել են: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը' վկայակոչելով «Անատոլու» լրատվական գործակալությունը, Թուրքիան, որն այդ կառույցի ժամանակավոր անդամ էր ընտրվել 2009-2010 թվականներին, չ ի կարողացել կրկին ընտրվել ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ ժամանակավոր անդամ: ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ կողմից «Արևմտյան Եվրոպայի և այլ պետությունների» համար առանձնացված երկու տեղի համար պայքարել են Թուրքիան, Իսպանիան և Նոր Զելանդիան:

ՄԱԿ-ում անցկացված քվերակության ժամանակ թեկնածու երեք երկրներից անհրաժեշտ նվազագույն 129 ձայները հավաքել է Նոր Զելանդիան և ընտրվել ԱԽ ժամանակավոր անդամ: Երկրորդ տեղի համար կրկնական քվեարկության պայքարում Իսպանիայի օգտին ՄԱԿ-ի անդամ 193 երկրներից քվեարկել են 132-ը, իսկ Թուրքիայի օգտին' 60-ը: Այսպիսով' 2015-2016 թվականների համար ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ ժամանակվոր անդամներ են ընտրվել Նոր Զելանդիան և Իսպանիան:

Ավելի վաղ 2015-2016 թվականների համար ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ ժամանակավոր անդամ էին ընտրվել Անգոլան, Վենեսուելան, Մալազիան: Խորհրդի նոր անդամները պետք է փոխարինեն Ավստրալիային, Արգենտինային, Լյուքսեմբուրգին, Կորեայի Հանրապետությանը և Ռուանդային, որոնք ընտրվել էին երկու տարի առաջ: Մինչև 2015 թվականի վերջը Խորհրդում կմնան Հորդանանը, Լիտվան, Նիգերիան, Չադը և Չիլին:

ՄԱԿ-ի ԱԽ մտնում են 15 պետություններ' հինգ մշտական (Ռուսաստանը, Չինաստանը, ԱՄՆ-ը, Ֆրանսիան և Մեծ Բրիտանիան) և տասը ոչ մշտական անդամներ, որոնք ընտրվում են քվեարկությամբ:
