Հինգ տարվա վերանորոգման աշխատանքներից հետո Փարիզում այսօրվանից կգործի Պիկասոյի թանգարանը: Թանգարանի վերանորոգման ծախսերը կազմել են 22 միլիոն եվրո, ինչն, ըստ BBC-ի, հասարակության մոտ միանշանակ չի ընդունվել:

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ, 17-րդ դարի պատմական Մարե թաղամասում գտնվող շքեղ կառույցը ներսից լուրջ փոփոխություններ է կրել: Մասնավորապես, մեծացել է ցուցահանդեսների համար նախատեսված սրահների տարածքը: Բացմանը կցուցադրվի 400 կտավ, քանդակներ, կերամիկական աշխատանքներ: Սա 5000 ցուցանմուշների ընդամենը մի մասն է, որոնք 1973թ.-ին Պիկասոյի մահվանից հետո, նկարչի ընտանիքը փոխանցել է կառավարությանը` որպես հարկերի մարում: Վերանորոգումից հետո թանգարանում ավելացել է եւս երկու հարկ եւ ընդունարան` նախկին ձիանոցի փոխարեն: Նկուղը, որտեղ տարիներ շարունակ աշխատել է Պիկասոն, վերածվել է ստուդիայի:
