Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեն շարունակում է երկխոսություն է վարել Ադրբեջանի համապատասխան կառույցների հետ հայ գերի Կարեն Պետրոսյանի մարմինը հայկական կողմին փոխանցելու հարցով: Բանակցություններն ընթանում են, սակայն հարցի առնչությամբ առայժմ լուրջ տեղաշարժ չի արձանագրվել: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում ԿԽՄԿ երեւանյան գրասենյակի հաղորդակցման ծրագրերի ղեկավար Զառա Ամատունին ասաց, որ իրենք առայժմ որեւէ մեկնաբա նություն չեն կարող կատարել:
«Այս հարցում շոշափելի շարժ չկա, սակայն մարմնի տեղափոխման ուղղությամբ երկխոսությունները շարունակվում են»,- ասաց նա:
Ադրբեջանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հայտնում է, որ օգոստոսի 7-ին Թովուզի Աղբուլաղ գյուղում գերի ընկած Տավուշի շրջանի Չինարի գյուղի բնակիչ Կարեն Պետրոսյանն օգոստոսի 8-ի առավոտյան «հանկարծակի անհայտ պատճառով մահացել է»: Նախնական տվյալներով` Պետրոսյանի մահվան պատճառը «սիրտ-թոքային խիստ անբավարարությունն է, խիստ միոկարդիալ անբավարարությունը»: Ներկայում Ադրբեջանի ՊՆ դատաբժշկական փորձագիտական եւ պաթոլոգոանատոմիական կենտրոնի Գյանջայի տարածաշրջանային բաժանմունքի փորձագետները, իբր, պարզում են հայ գերու մահվան իրական պատճառը:
Տավուշի սահմանամերձ Չինարիի գյուղապետ Սամվել Սաղոյանն «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում հաստատել էր, որ իրենց գյուղի բնակիչ 31-ամյա Կարեն Արտուշի Պետրոսյանը հատել է հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանն ու գերի ընկել: Նրա գերեվարվելու մասին լուրերն ավելի վաղ տարածել էին ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցները` հայտնելով, որ հայ գերին հայտնաբերվել է Թովուզի շրջանի Աղբուլաղ գյուղի բնակչի կողմից:
«Այդ տղան սեր ուներ խմիչքի հետ, դեռեւս հայտնի չեն սահմանը հատելու հանգամանքները, սակայն կասկածներ կան, որ նա խմած է եղել»,-ասել էր Սաղոյանը: Ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցները, սակայն, հայտնել էին, որ գերեվարված անձը 1965թ. ծնված Արտուշ Պետրոսյանն է:
«Արմենպրես»-ի ճշգրտող հարցին` Չինարիի գյուղապետը հստակ նշեց, որ գերեվարվածը Արտուշ Պետրոսյանի որդին է` Կարենը, ով 31 տարեկան է:
Առաջին դեպքը չէ, երբ սահմանը հատած խաղաղ քաղաքացուն Ադրբեջանում սպանում են: 2010 թ. սեպտեմբերի 11-ին Գեղարքունիքի մարզի Թթուջուր գյուղի բնակիչ քսանամյա Մանվել Սարիբեկյանը գերեվարվել էր. հոկտեմբերի 5-ին հայտնի դարձավ, որ նա մահացել է բանտախցում՝ Բաքվում։ Մահից առաջ ադրբեջանական ANS TV հեռուստաընկերությունը պատրաստել էր թողարկում, որում Մանվել Սարիբեկյանի հարցազրույցը էր տալիս հեռուստաընկերության աշխատակցի հետ։
Նա խոստովանում էր, որ իբր լրտես է և ահաբեկիչ։ Սարիբեկյանի դին Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանն է հանձնվել նոյեմբերի 4-ին՝ փոխարենը Ադրբեջանին հանձնելով Ադրբեջանի քաղաքացի Էլդար Թաղիևին։ Հայաստանում կատարված դատաբժշկական հետաքննությունը ցույց է տվել, որ Սարիբեկյանը ենթարկվել է կտտանքների:
2014թ. հունվարի 28-ին Վերին Կարմիր աղբյուր գյուղի բնակիչ 77-ամյա Մամիկոն Խոջոյանը դույլը ձեռքին հատել էր հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանն ու գերեվարվել: Ադրբեջանական կողմը ծերունուն համարել էր դիվերսանտ: Խոջոյանը հայրենիք է վերադարձվել մարտի 4-ին, նրա մարմնին եւ դեմքին կային բազմաթիվ վնասվածքներ: Ադրբեջանում նա ենթարկվել էր կտտանքների, նրան անգամ բենզին էին ներարկել: Չնայած տրամադրված բժշկական օգնությանը` Մամիկոն Խոջոյանը չկարողացավ ապաքինվել եւ մայիսի 20-ին կնքեց մահկանացուն:
