Թուրքիայում օգոստոսի 10-ին անցկացված նախագահական ընտրություններից հետո, որի ոչ պաշտոնական արդյունքներով 51,79 տոկոս ձայներ հավաքած գործող վարչապետ, իշխող «Արդարություն և զարգացում» կուսակցության (ԱԶԿ) առաջնորդ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանն ընտրվել է երկրի նախագահ, Թուրքիայի վարչապետի պաշտոնին հավակնող թեկնածուներից ամենաշատը շրջանառվում է արտգործնախարար Ահմեթ Դավութօղլուի անունը:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ները հայտնում են, որ Դավութօղլուի' Թուրքիայի վարչապետի պաշտոնում նշանակվելու մասին է խոսում նաև այն փաստը, որ երեկ թուրքական կառավարության ղեկավար գլխավոր խորհրդականի պաշտոնում նշանակվել է Դավութօղլուի վաղեմի բարեկամ' ուսանողական ընկեր Ալի Սարըգայան, ով մինչ այդ նշանակումը 12 տարի անընդմեջ եղել է արտգործնախարարի խորհրդականը: Ավելի վաղ նշվում էր, որ Սարըգայան պետք է նշանակվի Թուրքիայի փոխարտգործնախարար, սակայն, այդ պաշտոնին ն շանակվեց Նաջի Քորուն:

Թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ները Սարըգայայի այդ պաշտոնում նշանակվելը գնահատում են որպես Ահմեթ Դավութօղլուի Թուրքիայի վարչապետ դառնալու ազդանշան: Թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ները հայտնում են, որ օգոստոսի 27-ին տեղի ունենալիք ԱԶԿ համագումարում նշանակվելու է Թուրքիայի վարչապետի ժամանակվոր պաշտոնակատար, որը այդ պաշտոնը կզբաղեցնի մինչև 2015 թվականի հունիսին Թուրքիայում անցկացվելիք խորհրդարանական ընտրությունները:

Թուրքիայում ավանդաբար երկրի վարչապետ է նշանակվում իշխող կուսակցության առաջնորդը: Ամենայն հավանականությամբ, մինչ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունները ԱԶԿ-ն իր ղեկավար կնշանակի Ահմեթ Դավութօղլուին:
