Ադրբեջանի ընտանիքի, կանանց և երեխաների խնդիրների գծով Պետկոմիտեի անցկացրած հետազոտությունների արդյունքների համաձայն՝ վերջին շրջանում այդ երկրում աճել է երեխաների շրջանում ինքնասպանությունների դեպքերի թիվը, ինչն արդեն հասել է անհանգստացնող չափերի: Այսպես, 2008 թվականին Ադրբեջանում ինքնասպանություն են գործել 58 անչափահասներ, 2009 թվականին՝ 54, 2010 թվականին՝ 51, 2011 թվականին՝ 28, 2012 թվականին՝ 60, 2013 թվականին՝ 71 երեխա: Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնում է ադրբեջանական «Թրենդ» լրատվական գործակալությունը:
Կոմիտեի անցկացրած վերլուծություններում նշվում է, որ եթե մինչև 10-11 տարեկան երեխաները ինքնասպանության են դիմում «շրջապատում գտնվողների ուշադրությունն իրենց վրա ուղղելու» համար, որը բնութագրվում է որպես «չգիտակցված ինքնասպանություն», մինչև 13 տարեկանները՝ իրենց «մերձավորներին անհանգստացնելու» համար, որը պայմանավորված է ընտանիքների քայքայումով, ֆիզիկական և սեռական բռնություններով, ապա 14 տարեկանների մոտ ինքնասպանության փորձերի բնույթն արդեն այլ է: Այդ տարիքային խմբում արդեն հանդես է գալիս «առաջին անպատասխան սերը»: 16-20 տարիքային խմբում ինքնասպանության են դիմում այն պատանիներն ու երիտասարդները, որոնք կարծում են, որ իրենց համար «կյանքը կորցրել է իմաստը»: Սա այն տարիքային խումբն է Ադրբեջանում, որը, չդիմանալով իր առաջ ի հայտ եկած դժվարություններին, վախենում են շարունակել ապրել այդ պայմաններում, և ելքը գտնում են կյանքին վերջ դնելու մեջ: Պետկոմիտեն 2014 թվականի համար անչափահասների ինքնասպանության տվյալներ չի հաղորդել:
Ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ների հաղորդագրությունների համաձայն՝ այս տարվա ընթացքում Ադրբեջանում արդեն 174 ինքնասպանության դեպք է գրանցվել, որոնցից 13-ն անչափահասներ են եղել:
Ադրբեջանի «Կանանց ճգնաժամային կենտրոնի» հոգեբան Ազադ Իսազադեն ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ներին հայտնել է, որ Ադրբեջանում ինքնասպանությունների թվի աճը հասարակության մեջ աճող ագրեսիայի արդյունք է: Նրա կարծիքով՝ ինքնասպանությունը բողոքի ակցիա է: «Երբ մարդուն ոչ պետությունը, ոչ էլ հասարակությունը ուշադրություն չեն դարձնում, նա իր ձայնը լսելի է դարձնելու համար ինքնասպան է լինում», -հայտարարել է ադրբեջանցի հոգեբանը:
Ադրբեջանի երեխաների իրավունքների գծով ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպությունների դաշինքի ազգային համակարգող Նաբիլ Սեիդովը հայտարարել է, որ ամեն տարի Ադրբեջանում տարբեր տարիքի 80-90 երեխաներ ինքնասպանություն են գործում և ավելի շատ երեխաներ ինքնասպանության փորձ նախաձեռնում: Նա նշել է, որ անցյալ տարի ինքնասպանությամբ կյանքին վերջ դրած ամենափոքր երեխան 9 տարեկան է եղել: «Ամեն տարի դեպրեսիաներից, ծանր ապրումներից և այլ հոգեբանական խախտումներից Ադրբեջանում տառապում են հազարավոր երեխաներ և անչափահասներ, հազարավոր երեխաներ էլ ականատես են լինում հանցավոր գործողությունների, բռնաճնշումների, այդ թվում նաև կենցաղային: Վերջին 2 տարիներին մոտ 300 երեխաներ Ադրբեջանում բախվել են տարբեր տեսակի բռնությունների: Միայն Բաքվում երկու տարվա ընթացքում 40 երեխաներ ենթարկվել են սեռական բռնության և շահագործման», -ասել է Սեիդովը:
