Ադրբեջանում կալանավորված հայտնի իրավապաշտպան Լեյլա Յունուսը բաց նամակ է հղել նույնպես անազատության մեջ գտնվող ամուսնուն՝ Արիֆ Յունուսին:

Ստորև թարգմանաբար ներկայացնում ենք նամակը ամբողջությամբ․

«Արիֆ, թանկագինս,

Ահա և քեզ հետ մեր կյանքի 36 տարիներից հետո արդեն հայտնվեցինք տարբեր բանտախցերում տարբեր կալանավայրերում․․․

Սիրելիս, արդյոք չգիտե՞ս, որ ես ամեն ինչի կդիմանամ՝ թե՛ ահավոր ֆիզիկական ցավերին (սառը ջրից ինձ մոտ բորբոքման պրոցես է սկսվել), թե՛ ստաժավոր քրեական հանցագործ կնոջ ճնշմանը բանտախցում (ի դեպ, նա ծնունդով Գյանջայից է, մեր Գյանջան կրկին մեր հարցում իրեն չարդարացրեց), թե՛ նույնիսկ դատախազությունից այդ շնագայլերի այցերին: Ես դիմանում եմ հանձնուքների բացակայությանը (գիտեմ՝ դու էլ բոլորովին առանց հանձնուքների ես, առանց սպիտակեղեն փոխելու, դեղերի): Ես նույնպես առանց սնունդի եմ և առանց դեղերի: Պատկերացնո՞ւմ ես՝ ինչ շնագայլեր են այդ ուսուբովները, լեմբերանսկիները, որ նրանց համար քիչ է, որ մենք տոթ բանտախցում ենք, նրանք մեզ նաև սովահարությամբ են սպանում ու առանց դեղերի:

Բայց ամենից բարդը այն է, որ դու կողքիս չես: Չէ որ մենք գրեթե չէինք բաժանվել բոլոր 36 տարիներին:

Ես չեմ կարող հնարավորություն ունենալ նույնիսկ քեզ հետ նամակներով զրուցելու, և որոշեցի քեզ գրել այս բաց նամակները: Դրանք ինչ-որ կերպ կհասնեն քեզ: Գիտես, մենք քեզ հետ կարդացել ենք ամեն ինչ՝ և՛ Սոլժենիցին, և՛ Վառլաամ Շալամով, և՛ Գրոսման ու Աքսյոնով: Մենք քեզ հետ հաճախ քննարկել ենք, թե ինչ են զգում ամուսինները, որոնց միասին բռնել են: Իսկ 1937 թվականին նրանք մեծ բազմություն էին կազմում: Մենք քեզ հետ նույնիսկ չէինք ենթադրում, որ 21-րդ դարում կգանք 30-ականների բռնաճնշումներին: Երեկ վերհիշեցի Գրոսմանի խոսքերը իր «Կյանք և ճակատագրում»: Նա գրում է բանտարկյալների զգացմունքների մասին՝ «սոսկալի անձկությունը փոխարինվում է անիմաստ ափիոնով՝ լավատեսությամբ․․․»: Ինչ ճշգրիտ է ասված ավտորիտար կառույցների բանտերում լավատեսության մասին: Եվ կրկին նույն տեղում․ հրեաները 1942 թվականին ճամբարներում միմյանց էին փոխանցում ճշգրիտ տեղեկատվություն․ - «Հիտլերին կոշտ վերջնագիր են հանձնել՝ շտա՛պ ազատ արձակել բոլոր հրեաներին»: Եվ մարդիկ հավատում էին․․․ Հավատում էին, քանի որ կառչում էին անիմաստ ափիոնին՝ լավատեսությանը: Ես և դու իրատեսներ ենք: «Քաղաքականությունը կեղտոտ գործ է»: Ես և դու ամեն ինչ հասկանում ենք: Ինչպես էլ դասավորվի կյանքը՝ ամենասոսկալին այն է, որ չեմ կարող քեզ տեսնել: Եվ սա իմ ու քո 37 թիվն է: Գրկում եմ, Լեյլա»: Հիշեցնենք՝ Լեյլա և Արիֆ Յունուս ամուսինները Ադրբեջանում մեղադրվում ենպետական դավաճանության և այլ հանցագործությունների մեջ, շաբաթներ առաջ նրանց ձերբակալել, ապա՝ կալանավորել են: Նշենք նաև, որ Արիֆ Յունուսի մայրը հայ է, և Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունները պնդում են, թե Լեյլա Յունուսը ևս հայկական ծագում ունի:
