Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության բանակի զորամասերից մեկի զինծառայողները, ովքեր օգոստոսի սկզբին կանխել են իրենց պաշտպանության տակ գտնվող դիրքի վրա հակառակորդի հարձակումը, փաստում են, որ նման իրավիճակում հարկավոր է լինել սառնասիրտ և ճիշտ գնահատել իրավիճակը: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում հակառակորդի հարձակումը հետ մղած զինծառայողներն ընդգծեցին, որ նման դեպքերում խուճապի մատնվելով՝ հաջողության չես հասնի: «Հակառակորդի կողմից հարձակման ենթարկվելու պահին շատ կարևոր է լինել սառնասիրտ և ճիշտ գնահատել իրավիճակը: Խուճապի մատնվել ոչ մի դեպքում պետք չէ, քանի որ այդ դեպքում հաջողության չես կարող հասնել»,- նշեց շարքային Տիգրան Ավետիսյանը, ով մարտական հերթապահության ժամանակ հակառակորդի դիվերսիոն գործողությունը հետ մղելու ժամանակ արիություն ցուցաբերելու համար ԼՂՀ ՊԲ հրամանատար Մովսես Հակոբյանի կողմից պարգևատրվել էր Մարշալ Բաղրամյան մեդալով:

Հակառակորդի հարձակումը կասեցնելու գործողության մասնակցած զինծառայողները միակարծիք էին այն հարցում, որ հակառակորդի նկատմամբ ատելության զգացումն այդ պահին իրենց ավելի ուժեղ է դարձրել և օգնել է նրան հետ շպրտելու հարցում: Շարքային Գոռ Պիլյանը փաստում է, որ հակառակորդի դեմ-դիմաց հայտնվելով առաջին զգացումը հենց ատելությունն է եղել: «Դա մեզ օգնեց, որպեսզի ավելի ուժեղ լինենք»,- ասաց նա, ինչի հետ համաձայն էին նաև նույն օրը նրա հետ դիրքերում եղած ընկերները:

Հակառակորդին հետ շպրտելու գործողությունը տևել է ընդամենը 20 րոպե: Այդ ընթացքում մեր զինծառայողները կազմակերպված գործողությունների արդյունքում կարողացել են զգալի մարդկային կորուստներ պատճառել հակառակորդին և ստիպել նրան խուճապահար փախչել: Տղաները ցավով նշում էին միայն այն հանգամանքը, որ գործողության արդյունքում հերոսաբար զոհվել են իրենց վաշտի հրամանատարը և ծառայակից ընկերը: «Նրանց կորուստն իսկապես շատ ծանր էր մեզ համար: Նրանք վիրավորվեցին մեր աչքերի առաջ, իսկ հետո հիվանդանոցում մահացան»,- պատմեցին զինծառայողները:

Զինվորներն ընդհանրապես քչախոս էին: Նրանք հրաժարվում էին պատասխանել հարցերին՝ որոշ հարցերի միայն տալով կարճ պատասխաններ: Սակայն առանց նրանց հետ խոսելու էլ, միայն աչքերի մեջ նայելով՝ կարելի էր հասկանալ, որ ցանկացած պահի այս տղաները, որոնք ընդամենը մեկ տարվա զինծառայողներ են, պատրաստ են արժանի հակահարված տալ հակառակորդին և հետ շպրտել նրան, կարելի էր հասկանալ, որ նրանք գիտակցում են այն կարևոր առաքելությունը, որ դրված է իրենց վրա՝ ցանկացած գնով անառիկ պահել հայրենիքի սահմանները:

Հակառակորդի դիվերսիոն գործողությունները կանխելու ժամանակ արիություն և խիզախություն ցուցաբերելու համար գործողության մասնակցած բոլոր զինծառայողները ԼՂՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Մովսես Հակոբյանի հրամանով պարգևատրվեցին խրախուսական մեդալներով: Որոշ զինծառայողներ և ազատամարտիկներ նախարարի հրամանով ստացան նաև դրամական պարգևներ: Զինծառայողներն ու ազատամարտիկներն իրենց պարգևները ստացան անմիջապես ՊԲ հրամանատարի ձեռքից, ով այնուհետև լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում անդադար կրկնում էր, որ հպարտանում է իր զինվորներով:
