Շվեյցարիայի կառավարությունը կանխելու համար Ռուսաստանի դեմ ԵՄ-ի պատժամիջոցներն իր օգնությամբ շրջանցվելը իր սև ցուցակում ներառեց 10 անհատների և հինգ բանկերի անուններ:

Ըստ «Ֆրանս Պրես»-ի հաղորդման, Շվեյցրաիայի կառավարությունը չորեքշաբթի օրը մի հաղորդագրությամբ հայտարարեց, թե դիմել է բոլոր անհրաժեշտ քայլերի երաշխավորելու համար Շվեյցարիայի տարածքով ԵՄ-ի վերջին պատժամիջոցների շրջանցման հնարավորության բացառումը:

ԵՄ-ին անդամակցող Շվեյցարիան համաձայն չէ Ուկրաինայի հարցով Ռուսաստանի դեմ ծավալուն շրջափակումներին և դրա փոխարեն ընտրել է անհատների ու ընկերությունների դեմ նպատակուղղված պատժամիջոցների գործադրումը:

Շվեյցարիան նաև քայլեր է ձեռնարկել երաշխավորելու համար այլ երկրների դեմ սամանված պատժամիջոցները իր ֆինանսական բաժնի օգնությամբ շրջանցվելու հնարավորության բացառումը:
