Ռուսաստանի կողմից Ադրբեջանին զենքի վաճառքի հարցը մնում է հայ-ռուսական բանակցությունների սեղանին: Այս մասին հոկտեմբերի 30-ին խորհրդարանում լրագրողներին հայտարարեց Հայաստանի ԱԳ փոխնախարար Շավարշ Քոչարյանը: Ամեն դեպքում, ըստ նրա, հարկավոր է հարցն ավելի լայնորեն դիտարկել: «Պետք է հաշվի առնել, թե ինչ ենք ստանում մենք, եւ ինչպես ենք ստանում: Եվ ինչպես կարող ենք ռազմական հավասարակշռություն ապահովել»,- հայտարարեց Քոչարյանը:

Նա հավելեց, որ հավասարակշռություն ձեռք է բերվում ոչ միայն զենքով: 1990-ականների սկզբին այդ առումով Ադրբեջանի առավելությունն անհամեմատելի էր:

«Խորհրդային միության փլուզումից հետո Ադրբեջանին ավելի քան 50 ռազմական ուղղաթիռներ բաժին հասան: Իսկ մենք ոչ մի հատ չստացանք: Օդային տեխնիկա ավելի ուշ սկսեցինք գնել, արդեն պատերազմի տարիներին: Հետ էինք մնում նաեւ զրահատեխնիկայի եւ տանկերի առումով: Բայց արդյունքը բոլորին է հայտնի»,- ասաց փոխնախարարը:

«Հավասարակշռության հասնում են նաեւ բարոյական-մարտական ոգով: Դա հատկապես վառ արտահայտվեց հուլիսին եւ օգոստոսին, երբ Ադրբեջանի հատուկ ջոկատայինների՝ կադրային զինվորականների ատամները կոտրեցին: Եվ ովքե՞ր: Մեր նորակոչիկները: Միասնության եւ պատրաստակամության ոգին. ահա թե ինչն է մեզ առանձնացնում»,- հավելեց Քոչարյանը:
